A little about me since I gained a few hundred new book friends in the past couple of days 🥹 if I didn’t follow you back, I’m so sorry - I was working my day job and fell behind!

Lmk who you are & I’d love to keep up with you and support you!

Extra proud of this catch of the day 🐟
It took a lot of matchas and hours to reel this bad boy in -- weighing in at one themed playlist, 71,000 words, and 26 alpha readers. If you’ve got a WIP, what’s your word count at??

Book girlies, if these were your childhood crushes, get ready to meet Alec 😘

Not a big love triangle girlie when it comes to romance novels, but here are a few love triangles I’m here for. Most of them involve books and voting early.

Sorry @ everyone for whom it is not autumn or voting season for the lack of relevance 🧡🤎 by @amylebeauauthor

For every “My house. My chair. My woman” there’s also “My father loved his sword more than his son” and now we have a face for it. I am unwell 😭

Little reminder that like 12 million people have read Fourth Wing and probably have unique mental images of the characters. No cast is going to be everyone’s ideal. So let’s rock with the one we got, huh?

Also because this is my author page: just be aware my MMC is more Sawyer than Xaden 😂 by @amylebeauauthor

The joys of being an author with OCD 😂

Happy OCD Awareness Week to everyone who doesn’t have OCD 🥰 Those of us with it are probably plenty aware.

I sent this to my friends with OCD and they thought it was SO funny. Then I sent it to my friends without OCD and they were just so sad about it (and I quote: “Yeah dawg, that’s sad as f***”).

Soooo just trust me: this is funny. ✨ by @amylebeauauthor

Doing some traveling soon and I want to read YOUR book! It’s my goal to have 15 of the books I read this year be by small/indie/new-booksta-friend authors. I’m hoping to bump that up to 30 next year, so help me build my TBR pretty please 🥰

Here’s what’s on my list so far:

✔️ Unmated by @jessicalynnpontillo
✔️ Thief of Shadows by @kpriyag_writes
✔️ Daughter of Storms by @benjamincadenzawrites
◻️ Sands of Tomorrow by @rachyywrites (almost done!)
◻️ Two Hearts One Story by @aj.whitfield (almost done!)
◻️ Viridis by @nicolagrudowski.author
◻️ The Shadow of the Four by @ennova.writing
◻️ Scion of the Dragon by @c.k.slorra_author
◻️ Just One Night by @sydneydevinewrites
◻️ Broadcasting Into the Void and What We Cannot Explain by @jjbartlettauthor
◻️ Trials of Power by @bencrowauthor
◻️ Into the Light by @danielakoulikov
◻️ William Winch: Origins of a Guardian by @gphawker

Soooo many more of you have books I want to read!! Such talented humans in this space 🥰 by @amylebeauauthor

She means like the birds, right? Because that’s what I mean. 🐦 Adela really wrote the ornithology anthem for all of us adults who got really into birding recently.

Shoutout @ one of my WIP FMCs, a 30-something hobby birdwatcher. 🤍🐦‍⬛

In other news, I am never learning 2 seconds of a viral dance again. I’m not built for this.

Celebrating 6 years of marriage today with these photos of us as actual infants. No wonder I became a romance writer — we’ve got tropes on tropes on tropes.

Happy anni, Tyler. Let’s do 60 more, yeah?

Shoutout @andreamariephotos — these are still my favorite years later 🥰 by @amylebeauauthor

Happy World Mental Health Day!

If you’ve followed me for more than 6 seconds, you probably know I collect mental health diagnoses like Pokémon (trynna catch ‘em all, it seems).

I’m loud about mental health. My books are loud about mental health. And I’m here to sit with you in silence or shout it from the rooftops: it really can get better. Even when it doesn’t feel that way right now, and when healing isn’t linear, and when all you’ve got in you is to make it through the day.

You are not defined by your diagnoses. You are not a burden. You don’t have to be in crisis to get mental health care. You deserve support, compassion, and to be well, regardless of where you’re at.

For me, that looks like medication, therapy, leaning on loved ones, my faith, joyful movement, and hobbies that make my life feel a little brighter and a little more mine.

I love you and I’m so glad you’re here. 🖤

Happy October, friends 🎃🍂 here are some cozy spooky-szn reads I’ve loved, have on my TBR, or have heard great things about, plus the songs I think pair perfectly with them. What’s on your October TBR? 👻🖤 by @amylebeauauthor

I aspire to have the delusional confidence in my writing that my sleep-deprived self apparently possesses.

And before anyone comes for me: I am first in line to say Taylor is a lyrical genius. This is a joke. Xoxo 💞 by @amylebeauauthor
