POSTS STORIES REELS

As an Uplift Grant recipient through the USPA Powerlifting Foundation, Alec Baudy shares what it meant to compete at Ultra Nationals after making countless sacrifices to get there.

For Alec, one of the biggest challenges in his powerlifting journey wasn’t training, it was finding a way to afford the opportunity to compete. Discovering the USPA Powerlifting Foundation gave him the support he needed to make that goal a reality.

Stories like Alec’s are why the Foundation exists: to help athletes overcome financial barriers so they can step onto the platform they’ve worked so hard to reach.

Watch Alec’s story and hear what competing at Ultra Nationals meant to him.

from the bottom of our squats, THANK YOU ♥️

our @uspapowerliftingfoundation athletes never take a moment of their training or their competitions for granted. but, they couldn’t do this without the support of the powerlifting community. this group raised over $2,000 to fund themselves and their USPAPF peers in their 2026 season. a special thanks to @texasstrengthsystems, @uspalouisiana and @uspamississippi for their support along the way.

they’re just getting started ⚔️

This post is a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

From being baptized and publicly declaring my faith, to stepping onto the platform at my first national powerlifting meet, to sharing meals and making memories with incredible friends, every moment in these photos points back to one thing: God’s grace.

This trip reminded me that life isn’t just about achievements, milestones, or destinations. It’s about who you’re becoming along the way and who you’re trusting to lead you. There were moments of excitement, challenge, celebration, and reflection, but through it all, God was present.

My baptism was a reminder that my identity is found in Christ before it’s found in any title, accomplishment, or result. Competing at nationals taught me the value of discipline, perseverance, and giving my best while leaving the outcome in God’s hands.

If this experience taught me anything, it’s this: when you put God first, every moment becomes meaningful. Success is sweeter, challenges become opportunities for growth, and even ordinary moments become gifts worth celebrating.

All glory to God for every opportunity, every lesson, every friendship, and every step of this journey. The platform may have been the destination, but His faithfulness was the real highlight. 🤍

“For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.” — Romans 11:36

Recovery never hurt so good.

Your workout tears muscle.
Your recovery repairs it.
Ignore recovery and you’re just… aggressively breaking yourself for fun
