Reclaiming Space: Accessibility and Agency in Music and Media
75-minute discussion

What if the very things we’re told hold us back are actually our greatest creative strengths? In this conversation, artists and advocates, including Winnie Luk (Executive Director, Disability Screen Office), Sara Quin (Tegan and Sara Foundation), Anaïsa Visser (Executive Director, GEMS Vancouver), and Allyson Newman (the Alliance for Women Film Composers), explore how disability and difference shape storytelling in music and media. Through personal experience and collective insight, this panel champions access, visibility, and the power of reimagining ability in the world of story-telling.

Great afternoon at the first GEMS Summer Social! See you at the next event! by @anaisavisser

I was incredibly proud to be at the @leoawardsbc yesterday with my amazingly talented and incredibly hard-working partner @jonification, who was nominated for best short film for Neighbourhood at the End of the World.
He may not have taken an award home but I was delighted to have an opportunity to celebrate my person’s achievements and skill as a producer. Congrats, love. ❤️
