Yoga Anatomy & Biomechanics introduction: From the Parts to the Whole Join me at @anandaashram for an exploration of the body, mind and wisdom of Yoga. 🙏 I believe self-knowledge should be part of our basic education. Anatomy, physiology, neuroscience and biomechanics, together with Yoga, help us understand how we move, breathe, feel and relate to the world. Yoga philosophy can serve as a GPS for the mind and psyche, helping us navigate our thoughts, emotions and patterns with greater awareness. Sāṃkhya, a cosmogonic system, explores the unfolding of existence through its principles and elements. In dialogue with science, it offers a perspective on our inner world and our connection to the macrocosm. As we understand our own microcosm 🧬 we can relate more consciously to the macrocosm, to one another and to life itself. The word anatomy comes from the Greek anatomḗ, meaning “dissection”: separating the body into parts to understand its structure. Yoga invites us to bring those parts back into relationship and experience ourselves as an integrated whole. In this theoretical and experiential masterclass, we will explore functional anatomy, biomechanics, alignment, stability and mobility. By separating to understand, we can integrate to experience and develop a more intelligent and individualized practice. 📅 Sunday, November 1 🕑 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM 💵 $35 📍 Ananda Ashram, Monroe, NY Register at anandaashram.org. Ashram lodging is available for a weekend retreat experience. About Pedro: A Yoga teacher since 1992 and physiotherapist, Pedro integrates traditional Yoga with biomechanics, neuroscience, neuropsychology, mental health, a deeper integrated understanding of the body, mind and “soulful”. 🎶 @janetstoneyoga @djdrez Hanuman Bolo 🙌🏼💙 by @anandaashramyoga
