We asked people why they booked a sitting.
Almost no one said "a photo."

A birthday.
A face before it changed.
A person they didn't want to forget.

Jakarta, short run.

Taking its name from Batavia’s historical 19th-century social club, Sociëteit de Harmonie is an Indonesian jazz collective bringing mid-century swing, ragtime, and bossa nova back to modern ears. Fronted by singer-songwriter Natasya Elvira, the ensemble combines vintage arrangement styles with intimate live performance aesthetics, reimagining Indonesian standards alongside original releases. by @anane_studio

During my Artist in residence in Yogyakarta, @y.widoyoko from @anane_studio captured my portrait and showed my the process of creating an analogue photograph. It is a wonderful reminder of this period in time, my journey to Indonesia has been inspirational and healing.

You can find my research and creative work 'Voormoeders' at @kumpulandfestival on September 19 at @raumutrecht. Let's share stories and talk about identity, personal journeys and the things we inherited from the generations who came before. by @anane_studio

Meet Nadya Arina, one of Indonesia's most versatile leading talents. From sinetron and FTV beginnings to headlining an international streaming hit, she keeps bridging mainstream reach with critical acclaim.

She reached global audiences as Saski in the Netflix film A Perfect Fit, and moves easily between prime-time TV like Ikatan Cinta, horror in the Kafir franchise and the box-office smash Sekawan Limo, and award-winning cinema — her Alina Suhita in Hati Suhita took Best Leading Actress (Drama) at FFWI 2023. She brings depth, range, and authentic Indonesian storytelling to every role she takes on.

From corporate law briefs to the silver screen, Jerome Kurnia’s journey is a masterclass in radical pivots. Long before he was holding Citra Awards or commanding streaming charts, he was navigating the structured corridors of legal practice and radio booth, proving that an early career path is rarely a life sentence.

What makes his trajectory so compelling is the sheer velocity of his transition. Breaking into the Indonesian film industry in 2019 with powerhouse roles in Dilan 1991 and Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s literary adaptation Bumi Manusia, he didn't just test the waters; he made an immediate, undeniable impact. Winning the prestigious Citra Award for Best Supporting Actor for Photocopier solidified his transition from a promising newcomer to one of the most versatile and respected talents of his generation. by @anane_studio
