As a high school dance educator in the public school system, the journey is often layered. We teach dance, yes — but we also teach perseverance, healing, and hope. In spaces where the arts can sometimes feel like an afterthought, more recreational than revolutionary, it can be challenging to hold onto the deeper essence of what dance truly is: a powerful, transformative art form that cultivates raw, young talent into something extraordinary.

This summer, I was blessed with the opportunity to dance and reconnect with my purpose at the Dance Teacher Summit in NYC. To be in a space that celebrated educators, centered mindfulness, and reminded us of the impact we have — it was truly soul-nourishing. It reminded me of the importance of pouring into ourselves as much as we pour into our students.

As we step into this new school year, I’m committed to feeding my own artistry, finding joy in movement, and making space to grow — not just as a teacher, but as an artist. To my fellow educators and students: may this year be filled with purpose, peace, and passion. Do more of what fills your cup. We cannot pour from an empty one.

Here’s to a beautiful year ahead. ✨

Faith isn’t always easy — sometimes it feels fragile, shaken by storms and doubts. It’s natural to waver, to feel unsure. But like a tree with deep roots, even when the winds blow hard, those roots hold strong beneath the surface. When we anchor ourselves in faith — even imperfectly — it nourishes us, brings growth, and unveils a beauty and abundance we couldn’t have imagined. Keep planting your trust, watering it with patience and grace. The bloom of your life will flourish, radiant and resilient, grounded in the goodness of God’s promises — You’re a work in progress and I am too. Continue to be as intentional as possible one day at a time.

This weekend, I was blessed with a powerful reminder: Love is everywhere — in ourselves, in our relationships, in the quiet yet powerful presence of God, and in the unfolding of life itself.

Love is not just a feeling; it’s a choice. A practice. A presence. It holds space for gratitude — for what has been, what is, and what’s yet to come.

To see my LB and his wife join in sacred union was a reflection of Love in one of its purest forms — a reminder that Love, when chosen and nurtured, transforms everything it touches.

So today, I hold close the truth:
“Let love be your compass, your courage, your constant.”

Alignment + Intention = Balance.

When your actions, thoughts, and feelings are in alignment — when who you are and what you do match up — there’s a natural harmony that arises. Pair that with clear intention — a conscious choice about where you want to go and how you want to show up — and you create balance. Balance isn’t about perfection or equal parts on every side. It’s about feeling steady and centered amid life’s shifts. Alignment grounds you in truth. Intention lights your way forward. Together, they bring balance — a place where you can move through the world with calm, purpose, and peace.

There is a quiet kind of strength that doesn’t shout, it simply breathes. In your calm, there is clarity. In your peace, there is power. Let the world move around you; you are already centered.

I had such a wonderful time being back in my homeland, Jamaica, with my love by my side. It meant the world to experience the warmth of my extended family, indulge in delicious food, soak in the good vibes, and fully embrace the richness of our culture. This family vacation was truly a beautiful and unforgettable experience. I feel incredibly blessed and grateful for every moment shared. Cheers to us and to creating more memories just like this; full of love, laughter, and connection.

One Love!

I had an amazing time in Puerto Rico! It was truly a beautiful experience. From the delicious food and vibrant culture to the unforgettable vibes we shared, every moment was a reminder of how blessed and grateful I am. This trip reminded me of the importance of watering what waters you; nurturing the people and experiences that pour back into your soul. Here’s to more adventures, more memories, and more laughter. Now where to next, bro? 😌😅 by @andraedebonair

I’m living proof that God is good. Every day I’m gifted the breath of life is a blessing, and I’m constantly reminded of His grace through the time I get to spend with my family, friends, and loved ones. As I continue to grow in my faith and walk with Christ, I’ve been doing the internal work; listening to uplifting podcasts, reading books that shape the man I’m striving to become, and embracing the life I’m intentionally choosing to live. I’ve also learned that it’s not only okay but necessary to keep nurturing the inner child within me. Through it all, I’m a reflection of God’s goodness, mercy, and purpose.

Rule No. 1: There is no me—I am one of one. I’m unique, special, talented, and gifted in ways that can’t be replicated. My life has purpose, and I walk in that truth daily. I have nothing to prove to anyone, but I do have so much to share with the world. Let this be a reminder to you, too—you are just as unique, just as purposeful, and the world needs what only you can give.

The realest thing about me is that I’m not trying to be like them. I’m fully committed to being my authentic self—flaws, gifts, and all. There’s power in owning who you are, and I choose to walk in that truth every day. Originality over imitation, always.

Thanking God for all I have and all that’s on the way to me. I know my life has purpose, and I’m truly grateful for every blessing—seen and unseen. My deepest desire is to live out the true and fullest purpose of my life, walking in alignment with who I’m called to be.
