Yes, we do have 9 perfectly comfortable beds inside the bus.
But out of the 12,702 days I’ve been alive, I had never slept on top of a bus, in the middle of nowhere, under the stars in Australia.

So when someone asked,
“Hey… wanna sleep on the roof tonight?”
There was only one possible answer:

We didn’t go remote to stay still.
For us, it’s not really about working next to the beach.
It’s more about the fact that we can.

We can be on the road, live an active lifestyle, surround ourselves with people who drive us, and still show up for our work without needing to take vacation days.

At some point, we all thought remote work would mean more freedom.
But for many, it just ends up being lonely days at home or coworking spaces that feel like a different version of the same old office.

It feels good when work fits around life, not the other way around. by @remote_9

Today’s the day we finally launch the trip we’ve been dreaming about since Remote 9 was just a wild idea.

This isn’t just another trip. it’s THE trip.
The one we’ve been building toward for years. And now it’s finally happening.

Most people don’t know this, but Remote 9 was born in Australia.
This place lit the first spark in Machado’s brain, and honestly, it’s been living rent-free in his heart ever since.
So, coming back here with a crew of nine amazing humans, a school bus, and a partnership with Road to Adventure it’s an epic full circle.

For the next three weeks, we’re gonns live in a adventure hostel/coworking on wheels.
A school bus chasing sunsets, dodging kangaroos, and working on the road, far from the algorithm and deep into connection.

We’ve never done anything like this. No one has. And that’s exactly the point.
