✨ MEET YOUR TEACHERS – ANDREAS & MELINA ✨
🇨🇺 Your first steps into the beautiful world of Cuban Son

We are very happy to introduce the first teaching couple of our Son Weekend: Andreas & Melina! ❤️

Originally from Budapest and siblings both on and off the dance floor, Andrea and Melina have been exploring Cuban dance and culture together for more than a decade. Their journey has taken them through Son, Afro-Cuban dance, Rumba, Cha-Cha-Chá and the many layers of Cuban movement and musicality.

From Loco London to their current home, Loco Valencia, they have built years of experience teaching regular classes as well as sharing their passion at festivals across Europe. They are also experienced event organizers behind projects including Arrébatate in Budapest, Cubalencia and Mi Solar Festival in Greece.

But there is one dance that holds a particularly special place in their hearts: Son. ❤️

The elegance. The connection. The musicality. The subtle conversation between two dancers. Son doesn’t need to be loud to be impressive — sometimes the smallest movement says the most.

And that is exactly where our journey will begin.

🌱 Already recognize Son when the music starts, but don’t really know what to do next?

Andrea & Melina will take you from those very first steps and give you a foundation you can actually use on the dance floor.

You’ll work on the basic movement, timing, connection and feeling of Son, gradually building toward your first simple tornillos, transitions and enough vocabulary to enjoy dancing through an entire song.

No complicated figures. No crazy planchas. 😉
Just a strong, elegant and usable foundation — with a few beautiful details that might even make your dance partner say:

“Wait… when did you learn THAT?” 😏

This is where your Son journey starts. 🇨🇺❤️
