Stepping Into a New Era of Professional Hair Colour in Eastern Canada

As someone who has spent over a decade behind the chair, in classrooms, and alongside some of the most respected colour houses in our industry, moments like this matter.

The launch of KEVIN.MURPHY Canada East is more than a structural change—it’s a strategic evolution in how we support salons across Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes.

With a direct-to-salon approach, we’re creating stronger alignment between education, distribution, and the real needs of colourists working behind the chair every day.

What excites me most is the opportunity to elevate the standard of hair colour through:

• Deeper, more intentional education with KEVIN.MURPHY KEYS

• Stronger accessibility to professional-only products

• Continued partnerships with consultants who truly understand the salon environment

• A growing portfolio including Alfaparf Milano, ELEVEN Australia, Back of Bottle, and Color Space

This isn’t about changing who we are—it’s about refining how we show up for the professional.

For me, this is an opportunity to continue doing what I’m most passionate about: helping stylists build confidence, master their craft, and grow sustainable, successful businesses through hair colour.

The future of our industry is built on education, integrity, and community—and this is a powerful step forward.

Your hair with extra sparkle 💖
No bleach Lived-In Foils 🥥

My client wanted bright ribbons that would complement her, without root demarcation as her real colour grew out. We did my Lived-In Colour service, using the @kevin.murphy HIGH.LIFT in 12.0 with 30 volume.

Switching to HIGH.LIFT from bleach means both bright, and more gentle on hair. Especially important for my clients with longer, finer hair.

❕Hot take: I add CODE permanent 1.11 to my 12.81 HIGH.LIFT for extra warmth control. YES I know that sounds scary, but it’s never done me dirty. I like to pinch in a little bit of spice! 🤏🏻

Good hair gets glossed ✨

You ask for shine. It gives you strength, too.
You want tone. It’s paired it with treatment.
You come for colour, and leave with healthier hair.

Truly, a Canadian Experience into Haircare, rooted in Canada. Skin care transformed into Haircare, manufactured in Canada. Be a part of the Canadian story and join our events this fall season.#canadamade🇨🇦 #canadianbrand #madeincanada🇨🇦 by @andrew.kmce

COLOR.ME GLOSS from @kevin.murphy is one of my favourite tools for clients who want beautiful hair without maintenance.

It refreshes tone, adds incredible shine and helps strengthen the hair, all without creating a harsh line of regrowth.

For me, good colour is not just about how it looks the day you leave. It’s about how well it lives with you until I see you again.

Less maintenance.
More longevity.

Kevin Murphy Canada — looking forward to long-term success and even more great years ahead! 🚀

Now, onto the birthday stuff… another year older, still not entirely sure how I feel about it 🎂 (jury’s still out, ask me again in a few hours after cake).

But real talk — this year was a good one. I somehow managed to meet a ridiculous number of amazing people, both personally and professionally, from Canada all the way down through the States. Coffee chats that turned into friendships, “let’s stay in touch” that actually meant it, conference small talk that became genuinely great conversations — you know who you are.

Thank you for all the positivity this year. I’m not saying you all contributed to me aging gracefully, but I’m also not not saying that. 😉

Here’s to another year of new friends, questionable decisions, and way too much cake. 🥂✨

Going darker doesn’t mean saying goodbye to blonde ✨
We kept some lighter pieces throughout to add contrast, movement, and that perfect sun-kissed touch.
