POSTS STORIES REELS

At last, I am thrilled to share my Oscar-qualifying animated short @bravelocomotive!

Link to the film in bio!

Thank you to everyone who patiently supported and awaited this film for so long! We couldn't have done it without you!

I'm insanely proud of this crew.

Thank you @undertonempls for the amazing music and sound, and for partnering with me on this long journey!

Thank you @kazzer.lee for your brilliant, hilarious visual development and artistic direction!

Thank you @alliebirdseed for joining me early on and helping me find the look of this world with your stunning backgrounds!

Thank you @amylewisart for joining me for the project's revival after its long dormancy and elevating the art direction to new heights with your brilliant paintings and leadership!

Thank you to all the animators, painters, technical artists, Patreon supporters, and fans who kept the fire burning for me on this project. The whole film was made on the sidelines, and now it's one of the great privileges of my life to give it the center spotlight.

To all of you making passion projects of your own: there is light at the end of the tunnel!

🚂❤️❤️❤️

An animation progression from #OneSmallStep where I got to storyboard, layout, and do the final character animation. Credit to Erik Lee and 刘钰康 (KK Liu) for the beautiful hair animation in the final film.

This was my favorite scene I got to animate on #Klaus. Joan Cusack's patronizing delivery was wonderful. The start and end poses on Mrs. Krum were borrowed from character designer Torsten Schrank's model sheets. Thanks for the guidance, @mrbonifacio!

Working with @andrew_chesworth again on An Incident at the Dancing Badger made us revisit one of our favorites.

So, in honor of that, here's the Palm Springs International ShortFest opener. Making good work just has a way of bringing people back together.

This one's been brewing for a while. Meet the next MAKE Original: An Incident at the Dancing Badger

This hand-drawn animated short, directed by @andrew_chesworth , has become a true passion project. Andrew has spent his evenings and weekends directing the film alongside the team at MAKE.

What started as the winning story in a Flash Fiction Magazine writing contest has grown into something we're incredibly excited to finally share with you.

We truly can't wait to show you more. Huge thank you to everyone who's making this film happen.

I was very lucky to be a part of Netflix’s #CharlieVsTheChocolateFactory for a year and a half!

An especially huge thank you to @shiyoon83 for including me and trusting me with so many character design responsibilities.

@realjaredstern and @drawbogandraw have created a hilarious new story to tell about Willy Wonka, with gorgeous production design overseen by @mingjuechen.

Congratulations to our whole crew. Excited for the world to see it next year!

Two years ago today, legendary animator James Baxter moderated a presentation of #TheBraveLocomotive at Netflix Animation Studios with director @andrew_chesworth and composer Tom Hambleton @undertonempls. An incredible experience!
