Another shot of the Ringneck ducks from last weekend and one (mediocre photo) of a Bald eagle that flew over. Staying low to the water with morning sunlight and clear blue sky made for a nice shot of the ducks.

Camera: 90D with a EF 100-400mm and a 2x teleconverter.

A pair of Ringneck ducks I was fortunate to get a few shots of. This time of year we have the chance to see many different species of ducks as breeding pairs migrate back into the area.

Tired of Wood Ducks yet? Last few photos so I grouped them together. Hopefully in a week or so I'll start posting some from our September trip to Rocky Mountain National Park.

I'm pretty sure the Woodies have moved south for the winter. But I still have a few more photos from the last few weekends.

A few male Woodies relaxing. Not tack sharp, but I'm still happy with the results.

Gear/settings:

Perfect October vibes.

Have a few more I'll be posting over the next few days.

Can't get enough of these guys! Wood Ducks are hanging around before migration

Also, name a better photography jacket than @weatherwool Anorak!!!

Finally had a Female Barred Owl come within camera shot!

Another trout opener with a few friends. No great numbers, but ended up with this decent 20" Bow. Put up a nice fight on my 10' 2wt @orvisflyfishing Recon. Stayed very comfortable in @weatherwool midweight Anorak with 45 degrees and rain! Can't recommend it enough. Here's to 2025 trout season!

This mornings eclipse/blood moon. Not the best shot but I'm not entirely disappointed 😆.

Recently finished up a "test" met out of Curly Maple and decided to try out a mix of @rubiomonocoatusa 2C oil finish colors. Topped it with @n3nano ! We'll see how it holds up. May need to add an extra hoop strip for strength. This is a little smaller than a guide size net. Should be perfect for Euro nymphing rod lengths.

Happiness is:

Had a nice mid morning/early afternoon session after running to the sawmill, managed to also catch a few Bronze backs!

But if you're having a bad day, think of the lil guy in the last photo 😂. Got it on a Sexy Walt's
