This Struggle is Real

This struggle is real and folks don’t know how to deal.
A man struggles to find a job to feed his wife and kids.
He cries out to The Lord for help to keep his family fed.
There’s a pregnant woman struggling with her man being gone.
As a single mother she has to find a way to move on.
Due to floods families homes are lost.
Many are left with nothing so they can’t rebuild ‘cause of the cost.
Some struggle with the color of their skin weather they are black or white.
So they create new movements that divide us even more like it’s right.

This struggle is real with the harsh truth of this world revealed.
Hackers expose government and coorperate information.
Now we can see the details of their corruption.
People are angry struggling to get by.
While we are tired of hearing the rich and our leaders lie.
They send our solders out to die with their families asking, “Why?”
We know those up top really don’t care about us.
But they have the nerve to ask for our trust.
Maybe they should stop using tax payers’ money to satisfy their lust.

This struggle is real to overcome the hurt that you feel.
There are people that struggle with their gender identity.
While others question their own sexuality.
Little kids out there have been abused.
So they grow up later to be suicidal and confused.
Some women give these men they love their bodies and hearts.
As soon as dude is finished he dogs her out to depart.
These are the struggles that people go through.
God needs to guide us on what to do.

This struggle is real with people trying to pay bills and the homeless begging for meals, people trying not to get killed avoiding giant oil spills while others are addicted to perscription pills. There are true believers seeking Christ’s Holy Spirit to be filled while others are crying out to God for their loved ones to be healed.

Not Quite There

Working hard trying my best.
Going through needing some rest.
Staying humble without poking out my chest.
Guarding my heart like a protective vest. On
It’s discouraging to hear always that I’m not quite there.

Getting frustrated at the poison you say.
You say I frustrate you almost every day.
Searching to find something wrong with my way.
This toxic environment is not where I want to stay.
The noise in my ears is very clear that you don’t like me because I’m not quite there.

They think I’m a nice guy, but feel I don’t do enough to try.
They think my work is OK but me grasping the knowledge has been delayed.
Constantly, I’m being told I’m not enough while being talk down to all rough and tough.
These thoughts, I have to share how I am being told blatantly ;that I’m not quite there.

Why am I here?
Should I even care?
Is this even fair?
Should I be feeling this despair?
People acting funny, so I have to beware.
Talking behind my back, because their comments aren’t fair.
God please send me somewhere where everyone doesn’t treat me like I’m not quite there. by @andrewrichardsonjr

Hopefully

Hopefully we do what’s right.
Hopefully we live in the light.
Hopefully our future is bright.
Hopefully we’re pleasing in God’s sight.
Hopefully everyone will obey God’s commands.
Hopefully we seek to understand.
Hopefully our foundation isn’t sinking sand.
Hopefully we make it to the promised land.
Hopefully...

Hopefully we’re not blind.
Hopefully we renew our mind.
Hopefully we treat each other kind.
Hopefully we’re connected to the true vine.
Hopefully we practice what we know.
Hopefully over time we grow.
Hopefully good works we show.
Hopefully no one goes to hell below.
Hopefully... Hopefully...

God’s word should give us hope.
My hope is in the Lord.
Jesus please reverse my downward slope.
This is the time to move forward.

Hopefully we put away wrath.
Hopefully nothing is done through strife.
Hopefully all stay on the right path.
Hopefully everyone can have a blessed life.
Hopefully we forgive the deceit of the past.
Hopefully God’s love we display is vast.
Hopefully our fellowship with Christ will eternally last.
Hopefully we figure out God’s way fast.
Hopefully we make it.
Hopefully we stop trying to fake it.
Hopefully... Hopefully... Hopefully... by @andrewrichardsonjr

Born

Born for you.
Born for me.
Born for all.
Born to set us free.
Born to be our light.
Born to save our souls.
Born to teach us what is right.
Born to give us hope.
Born to heal our distress.
Born to be the one we confess.
Born to pull us out of our mess.
Born to help us press.
Born as the living Word.
Born to be obeyed.
Born meant to be heard.
Born as the straight and narrow way.
Born for us to use his name when we pray.
Born to be our guide in everyday.
Born to cleanse us of our sins.
Born to change our lives end.
Born as our sacrificial lamb.
Born so we don’t have to be damned.
Born for us to be born again.
Born so our new walk with him can begin.
Born for the faithful to defend.
Born to be our friend.
Born to open our eyes.
Born to destroy the lies.
Born to make us wise.
Born to rise after 3 days when on the cross he dies.
Born to pour out his Holy Spirit.
Born to reveal Jesus as his name.
Born to throw Satan into the bottomless pit.
Born for his righteousness to be proclaimed.
Born so evil won’t reign.
Born to take away our pain.
Born to be light in a world that’s so dark.
Born to give us pure minds and hearts.
Born to set his saints apart.
Born to bring change so the world will never be the same.
Born as our savior is why Christ came.
Thank you Lord. Amen. by @andrewrichardsonjr

Shed No Tear

No matter how deep the pain.
No matter how bad the troubles.
I will not go insane.
I won’t give in to the devil.
Not one tear will drop.
Not one tear will shed.
I will never ever stop.
I will always stay ahead.
Life will go on.
Troubles may last long.
So I will move on.
My faith in God isn’t gone.
I plan to stay long.
I’m going to stay strong.
I will sing a joyful song.
Have no fear.
Don’t give a care.
No matter where I won’t be scared.
I will shed no tear! by @andrewrichardsonjr
