41 and in the best shape of my career. Ready to get back to live shows and figuring out other ways to reach new audiences. I don't listen to a whole tonne of popular music so, I’m taking requests. Give me a tune or a song and I’ll give it a go for the next video. Or sure come join me if you want! #irishdance #dancecollab #irishdancer #professionaldancer #producer by @andrewvickersdance
We are gearing up to take this new piece on the road! Andrew is chatting and planning with many friends and collaborators and would love to hear from anyone that thinks this would be a good fit for their community. Fiddle & Feet is a collaborative performance engaging with friends and colleagues from over the years around the world. Germany, UK, Ireland, USA are already on the cards for 2027. Where else should we go? No venue too big or small this is about community, fun and sharing. Performances can also be paired with masterclasses, school assemblies and other engaging events! Get in touch if you would like to find out about bringing this to your town, venue, studio or space #irishdance #irishmusic #andrewvickersdance #imagineireland #community by @andrewvickersdance
Getting ready for Áine’s big break! Irish Culture Night With... FRANKIE GAVIN The World's Fastest Fiddle Player! 🎻 Be there or be square! 😂 MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2 Chester Presbyterian Church 7:15 PM Tickets in bio! #irishmusic #irishdance #fiddlemusic #guinnessworldrecord #chesternj by @andrewvickersdance
Pulling out the 4x4 dance boards in preparation for @irishculturenightnj next week and reminded of one of the first performances I did on them, supporting the Mayo Roscommon Hospice back in 2021. My good friend Michael O'Grady @the_whistleman put together this online concert, bringing performers from both sides of the Atlantic together for a great cause during a time when so many families and friends were kept apart. A great reminder of what music and dance can bring people together to do. #irishdance #footpercussion #fiddleandfeet #imagineireland #andrewvickersdance by @andrewvickersdance
12 years married, 3 kids, and a whole bunch of challenges that we could never see coming. Its not always easy but we are still figuring it out together! In the words of Paul Brady..., “The world is what you make it.” Happy anniversary x by @andrewvickersdance
He's recorded with THE ROLLING STONES, and now he's coming to Chester, NJ! Irish fiddle legend, Guinness World Record holder and founding member of De Dannan, Frankie Gavin, will be in town for a very special evening of live Irish music and dance! This has all come together at fairly short notice, but when the opportunity came up to bring Frankie to Chester, I couldn't pass it up! Frankie and I have had the pleasure of sharing the stage internationally over the years, and I'm delighted to have the chance to perform together again, this time right here in our local community. Monday, November 2 | 7 PM Community Presbyterian Church of Chester 220 Main Street, Chester, NJ Tickets: www.IrishCultureNight.com We'll also be hosting pre-show refreshments and shopping at PopUp Ireland from 5:30 PM, just down the street. And as a little bonus, concert ticket holders receive 20% off shopping at PopUp Ireland, valid through November 8! It's not every day we get to welcome a musician of Frankie's caliber to Chester. Hope to see you there! #irishmusic #irishdance #morriscountynj #livemusicnj #chesternj by @andrewvickersdance
Irish dance is more than just steps. It's about spending time together, having fun, and making memories! A family that steps together... finish the caption for us 👇 #irishdance #irishdancenj #familyfun #chesternj #irishdanceforeveryone by @andrewvickersdance
A little something for the dancers on here! I've been playing around with breaking down some of the steps, phrases, rhythms and tricks I've performed over the years. This one's a more advanced movement, but I've slowed down the footwork and taken out the turn so you can focus on the rhythm and technique. Give it a go and let me know how you get on! Anyone interested in seeing more of these? Drop a comment below! We're also working on a new online dance class and community, so plenty more to come. I'm also available for in-person workshops, masterclasses and choreography with dance schools, groups and performers of all levels. Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to arrange something! #irishdance #irishdancing #dancetutorial #tapdance #danceworkshop by @andrewvickersdance
The video you’ve all been waiting a week for 😂 Killing two birds with one stone on this one.... @babytee81 asked for anything from @michaeljackson and the legend Mr @alankenefick of @prodijig challenged me to Billie Jean… so here we go. Over here attempting a few iconic MJ moves for this one 🕺 Keep the requests coming. I’m getting to them as quickly as I can. If it takes me all year… so be it 😂 #irishdance #michaeljackson #mymjclips #songrequest #irishdancer by @andrewvickersdance

Another one from the soundcheck archives… Tokyo, 2014. Soundchecking on my own at The Nakano Sun Plaza venue while on the road with @teada_ireland and the late, great Seamus Begley, touring Japan and Taiwan. I’ve always loved being able to just get up and dance with live musicians, without really knowing what I’m going to do until the music starts. The problem now is capturing the feet properly without being tied to one spot. So… the question at the end of the video is a genuine one. What are people using now to capture clean, LIVE footwork wirelessly and record it directly to a phone or camera? @dewitrighttapmics I’ve been looking at the new mic setup you've created for dancers and it looks like it might be exactly what I’m after. Can it record directly to a phone/camera, or does it still need to run through a separate receiver or recorder? And if anyone else has found a setup that works well for live dance, I’d love to hear what you’re using. #irishdance #tapdance #microphone #liveperformance #socialmedia by @andrewvickersdance
