POSTS STORIES REELS

My name is Andy Godinez, and I’m excited to announce that I am officially running for NMUSD Board of Education Area 7.

I’m an NMUSD alum, lifelong Westside Costa Mesa resident, public servant, and trusted neighbor.

Vote for Andy Godinez on November 3!

I am running for NMUSD Board of Ed to increase the opportunities and experiences available to my daughter and other Westside kids.

My priorities:

⭐️ Expand Dual Immersion options for Area 7 preschools and elementary schools
⭐️ Increase youth development opportunities
⭐️ Equitable facilities and green spaces

⭐️ Instalaciones y espacios verdes equitativos by @andy4nmusd

My wife and I grew up just three blocks apart, but we didn’t meet until our twenties.

That’s the story of so many neighborhoods here on the Westside of Costa Mesa: close in distance, disconnected in community.

It’s time to bridge those divides across neighborhoods, across cultures, and build something more united, more collaborative, more us.

And the best place to start? Families.

🗳️ Vote Andy for NMUSD Board of Education Trustee, Area 7!

It’s Election Day today 🗳️ Let’s go out and vote, mi gente!

Wanna know something crazy? My opponent has been ignoring student concerns and was the only candidate in the city not to show up for the recent SOY youth candidate forum.

Showing up for our kids is the bare minimum, and as your school board trustee representing the Westside, if elected, I will continue to show up for our kids.

¡Hoy es Día de Elecciones! 🗳️ ¡Salgamos a votar, mi gente!

My opponent has never spoken up for Westside students or families. Once elected, it would be an honor to continue being their voice.

I attended the grand opening for Cafe Mesa at Lions Park. My opponent? You guessed it. A no-show.

I am a board member for Leadership Tomorrow and CMCEA. Grace has no board experience.

I am the only current NMUSD parent running. My opponent is not a parent here & only 1 of her 2 adult kids graduated from NMUSD. She has never taught for NMUSD. Stop with the lies.

Basta de mentiras. by @andy4nmusd

Thanks Save Costa Mesa for tracking the political spending this cycle. It’s off the charts with outside interests - beyond what I’ve seen in my time, and very concerning.

Keep it local folks!

🗳️ Now go vote! by @andy4nmusd

Earlier this week, I was thrilled to attend the SOY Youth Council’s Candidate Forum. Students and their families had the chance to ask candidates for Costa Mesa City Council and NMUSD Board of Trustees about issues important to them. It was incredible to hear from NMUSD Trustee Area 7 candidate Andy Godinez, who grew on the Westside and was educated in our schools. I look forward to serving with him when he’s elected! Congratulations to our NMUSD student board members who served as moderators, learning more about democracy and leadership.

Remember to vote by Nov. 3! by @andy4nmusd

Thank you @saveouryouthcenter for hosting a youth-led candidate forum at Norma Hertzog, and to the District 4 City Council and mayoral candidates who showed up.

Our Newport-Mesa student leaders asked tough, thoughtful questions. They make me proud, and hopeful for our future.

Showing up for 90 minutes is the MINIMUM. Serving on the school board means showing up for students and families for four years… not just when it’s convenient.

Today, ICE took an NMUSD father of five. These are the realities facing our Area 7 families. If a candidate won’t show up to hear their concerns, that absence speaks for itself.

🗳️ VOTE ANDY GODINEZ FOR NMUSD!

—
