Happy opening to Titaníque! I’m having the best time getting to play with these incredible musicians every day. My deepest gratitude to @geoffreyhko, @nicholasconnell, and Kim Wertz for bringing me on board the ship of dreams! by @andycollopy

I conducted Take The Lead tonight and had fun almost the whole time!

Thank you to @geoffreyhko for the guidance and support, and for holding down the key 2 book.

And thank you @i_do_declare and @s_coughlin7 for coming and for these pics! by @andycollopy

We opened @soonmusical on Monday and what a joy it has been to work on this show with this incredible group of people. Every single person on this production deserves individual recognition, but thank you especially to @neverthecoyote, @willblum, and @blaemire for trusting me with their baby.

We’re currently scheduled to run through 11/8 but I’ll only be there for the next few weeks before departing on my next adventure so come SOON!

In addition to playing key 3 every day at Titaníque, I also got to sub for two of the best, @geoffreyhko and @goldiegolden65. Thank you to both of them for their trust, guidance, and friendship! Here are a few snapshots of my time above deck. by @andycollopy

Week two pictures! This year at @newportnewworks I had the privilege of MDing two shows over the course of my two weeks there. I’m so proud of what both teams were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time. What a joy it was to work with these casts, creative teams, stage managers, and absolutely killer band. Thank you as always to @jmc_java and @peilinchou for making it happen and thank you to @marydowdlephotography for the photos! by @andycollopy

Photos from week one of year two of @newportnewworks! Missing this magical place and the incredible community it fosters.

While I was playing for Jake James’ triumphant performance of “It’s Hard to Speak My Heart”, I found myself thinking back to when I sang the same song in a masterclass while on a @mandeljccplaymakers trip to New York City. That trip, and the ones I went on with stagecrafterstheatre, made my dreams lifesized, transforming the voices on cast albums into real people and a life making musicals into something tangible. Some of the professionals I worked with on those trips are now frequent collaborators and dear friends. From there my thoughts went to the times, also in High School, that my friends and I spent around the piano, singing through full scores from top to bottom for no one but ourselves, returning perhaps to no show more frequently than Parade. Those countless joyful hours provided my first real foundation of sight reading and accompanying singers, skills I draw on every day of my professional life. My thoughts then continued on to the memory of one of those same friends, @maxcherns, making his Leo Frank debut on Broadway and how time stood still during his rendition of this very song, the pride of the community radiating from everyone sitting around me. And now after Monday night, I’ll have a new memory to draw upon the next time someone puts “It’s Hard To Speak My Heart” in front of me.

Even four years in, accompanying the finalists at the @jimmyawards is the most challenging thing I do professionally. The performances are unrehearsed and without clear sight lines, and I have extremely limited advance notice of what the eight songs are going to be. I am already stressed about the prospect of doing it again a year from now. In the moment though, that all goes away and is replaced with music, memories, and the joy of creating something that will truly only exist in that one instant, no matter how many times it gets reposted.

I’m so grateful to be part of the Jimmys team and especially thankful to @geoffreyhko, @reagancasteel, and @airincoffee for their unparalleled collaborative spirits as we strive to streamline our process a little bit more each year.

A few weeks ago I got to be a small part of the triumphant return of @pauleeg2018 and @johncaird48's Jane Eyre to the New York stage. What a joy to play these songs with this spectacular cast, choir, and orchestra all while getting to perform again under the baton of Maestro @haakmusic. It was truly a special night!

2025 wasn’t easy but the people (and small dog) made it great. Many of those people aren’t pictured here but some are! by @andycollopy

@newportnewworks post 3/3 — When you spend two weeks with an amazing photographer like @mdowdle31 in the room every day, you end up with some great photos of yourself! 📷: @marydowdlephotography by @andycollopy

@newportnewworks post 2/3 — Look at all these dreamy people I got to work with! Thank you to @jmc_java and @peilinchou for making it happen and to @seanddaniels and @jamesaaronmark for bringing me along. 📷: @marydowdlephotography by @andycollopy
