3D Character Artist
Commissions and hiring temporarily unavailable (producing my own short film) stay tuned! #tvshows #aaagames #nftart

POSTS STORIES REELS

One thing I’ve learned from working as both a character designer and a 3D character artist is that every decision you leave unresolved in the concept eventually becomes a decision you have to make in 3D.

And when you’re your own modeler, it’s very easy to just… make something up. 😅

So with Darek, I wanted to approach the design differently.

Before touching the sculpt, I wanted to think through as much as possible: proportions, silhouette, facial shapes, clothing, construction, secondary forms — all those little decisions that can otherwise turn into improvisation once you’re in 3D.

The idea was simple:

**Concept is king.**

The more clearly I can solve the character in 2D, the less I have to invent later — and the closer the final 3D character can stay to the original vision.

This is the starting point.

I’ll be sharing the 3D development as it comes together, and I’m genuinely curious to see how closely I can get the final character to this design.

More soon. 👀

¡ESTA ES LA ONDA! 🤩 I’m stepping out of my comfort zone! 🎉 Sharing my first physical sculpt, Adam, with you all! 🤗 As a digital sculptor and animator with a solid track record, I’m taking on a new challenge... and it’s scary 😅! Broken arm and all, I’m diving into new media 🤦‍♀️. Honestly, I’ve enjoyed every minute of this process, but man, it’s been a rollercoaster of self-doubt 🤯. I’m sharing this with you all as a reminder that even with experience, new things can be intimidating 😊. Come vibe with me as I explore this new dimension and figure things out as I go 🤩. Should I continue pursuing this path? . #digitalart #sculpture #newmedia #artjourney #growthmindset #selfdoubt by @angelvaltierra.art

✨ Hey!
Suena bien, no?...

Here's the final version of Katherina in Street Clothes. Hope you like it! I designed this character for my indie short-film using @reallusionofficial software #CC4 and @maxonzbrush for character creation, @substance3dart for textures and #iclone for animation with @movellaent xsens suit for Mocap and manus gloves. A pleasure working with incredibly telented artist and musician @sabinaodone who gave voice and life to the character with her awesome interpretation of #Lallorona an amazing sountrack you can listen in spotify and recently remastered avaliable in youtube. It's been the most ambitious individual #3danimation project I've ever worked on, a long journey, taxing, expensive, fatiguing, but we're almost there, 99% of the way. depression, impostor syndrome, anxiety at it's peak, but I finally see the light at the end of the tunne, stay tunned for more! by @angelvaltierra.art
