✨ It all started with a regret, then I transformed it into a plan. Never underestimate the power of your inner child, that girl deserves it all. ✨

Allow me to reintroduce myself
@angie_right Graduate in Languages and International Relations at the University of Greenwich.
A degree that I dedicate to myself and my resilience, my patience and my strength.
I dedicate this degree to my ability to believe in my dreams and face the challenges of the journey.
I studied international politics in English, I learned Mandarin from a teacher who explained the Chinese grammar and culture in a foreign language.
I studied during a pandemic, away from my loved ones, unable to travel to hug them.
I experienced loneliness, faced my fears and listened to my instincts.
I dedicate this degree to the people who have been close to me during these 3 years (you know who you are ♡)
I also dedicate this degree to all the people who abandoned me during this journey, thanks to your criticisms I have become the woman you see in the pictures.

To freedom, the pursuit of happiness and self-love.

Sincerely
👩🏽‍🎓 @angie_right

How it started VS How is it going

How often do you check on your inner child and ask yourself if she/he would be proud of who you at right now?

⏳Time is the most precious thing that someone can give to you.
Thanks to all my friends that filled my birthday with love, laughter, and good vibes ♡
I’ve never been this happy, loved and healed ✨
Happy 34th Birthday to me!

I find a lot of mistakes in this but for not having danced in months, learning this in 90 minutes is not that bad…
I need to remember to breath, be intentional with my eyes and to focus on sharper hands.
I should work on the memory too but that’s a story for another day 😅
It’s not my best but the whole point is to do something that makes me feel good, regardless of how it looks on the outside. Cos I showed up and that’s what matters to me!

Ps: I still can’t believe I’m back on heels after being on crutches and that means a lot.
I’m glad I kept on pushing the recovery training because look how high are the heels now 🥹

My friend’s editorial birthday ♡
She hired a studio, bought pieces of clothing and made us create looks inspired by high fashion.
That was my take on Pucci.

I spoke with someone recently and that person said: “Wow I didn’t know you are that deep”
I paused wondering if they undervalued me or if it was because we never got a chance to speak about something deeper.
I’ve seen this person multiple times but never had deeper conversations.

It made me reflect about how many other people judged or assumed things about me just because.
Life is deeper than what we experience in hours together and I wish I could share more about me to leave less benefit of the doubt and share more meaningful moments together.
We’re often focused on surface level conversations without going deeper and I wish I could get more of that.

Even now, I’m sharing this thought with a video and I wonder how many people will watch the video without reading the caption till the end.

Maybe I’m too deep, maybe it’s too long, maybe I should write a book.

But hey, I like my Instagram to be a gallery of my favourite memories, and thoughts, so here’s today’s one!

Pouring love into others is priceless ♡
Recently, a friend texted me and it reminded me of how important is how you make people feel without even realising, just by being you and sharing your love and support for them.
That truly matters to me and these random screenshots are proof that I’m doing it right.
I’m so grateful to receive this love back, cos it wasn’t always like this.
So yes, I was out and about recently but things are always deeper than just what you see on pictures and videos.
I wish I could share more of what goes on behind the camera but 🙊

Let this be your reminder that you just need to be yourself, support your people, love and it will come back multiplied🥹

PS: If I change my mind and decide to tell you what is really going on behind the camera you’d think my life is a movie, so for now I’ll leave it here, bye 👋🏽

My younger self would never believe it but God made the 1% chance happen and my heart is full!
If you have words to describe what Cape Verde did find them for me cos I’m still processing all these emotions 🥹🇨🇻💙

I was too busy seeing them and shaking my flag that my videos are all shaking. We had to celebrate history in the making!
And yes we all shook a lot yesterday 🤣

…I’ll add a proper caption once I process and get some sleep!

I didn’t understand why Cape Verde was not on the World Cup when I was a kid.
At that time when people asked me where I was from I had to explain where Cape Verde was.

Today a lot more people are learning about Cape Verde.

I’ve been dreaming about this moment for years and that’s why today is a special day for me and the Capeverdean community. The celebration didn’t end after the match.

Cape Verde is finally seen worldwide ♡

Our team made us proud and we would have never imagined making history this way!
