POSTS STORIES REELS

Miss Bird passed her BH today! 💜 It’s been a long six years to get here. There were times when this day felt impossibly far away, but Birdy and I kept showing up, learning, and finding our way together. This certificate means more to me than a pass in any other sport. It holds six years of hard work, patience, tears, and moments when I felt hopeless about her reactivity and our relationship. Even though we were both on edge today, we made it through together. I’m so proud of the dog she is and the team we’ve become. My little Bird has given me so much to celebrate lately, but what I’m most grateful for is the progress we’ve made in everyday life. She has helped me grow in ways I never expected, and I’m forever thankful that we kept going. 💜 Huge thank you to @infernocanine for all of your love and support throughout these last few years. Forever grateful for you. Huge congratulations to all the competitors this weekend too. It was such a great group of people. Everyone was smiling even in the terrible weather. Thank you @missolyab and @shay_and_widowmaker for your support today and talking me down ha ha and thank you to the judge Andrea. We appreciate you. Thank you. Now we get back to work for that IGP 1 in the spring. 💜🙌

Birdy PSA 1 - Canadian Regional Vice Champion and High Obedience.

Miss Bird earned her PSA 1 title this weekend at UK9BG’s 2nd Canadian Regional Championship! 💜🙌 We also tied with Dani and Yaro for High Obedience over the weekend. Obedience is and always will be my favorite phase. I’m also super glad @decoy.kev and @showtimeshaunt decided to decoy instead of trialing so they could allow us this opportunity. Little Sheppy can’t quite live up to the mals and dutchies. 😂🙌 It truly takes a village, and I have so many people to thank for helping us reach this moment so I apologize in advance for the long post!

First and foremost, I want to thank Miss Bird. Birdy doesn’t know how many points we earned or whether we passed, and she couldn’t care less. All she knows is that she got to go out there and do what she loves with her favorite person. To her, that’s everything and you can see it on her face. And honestly, it is to me too. 💜 This girl has shown up for me in every possible sense of the word. I may have always been her person, but she definitely wasn’t always a willing participant in our training journey. 😂 She was a challenging first dog for me, but we worked through it together, and I couldn’t be happier with the relationship we have today. Apparently, all it took was three years off as well as me building myself as an handler and focusing on our relationship. Considering how little time we’ve been back at it, she has done incredibly well, and I couldn’t be prouder of her. Thank you, @staceyl.morr and @theschutzhundshepherds , for trusting me with this special girl. I hope she’s making her daddy Chase proud up there. 💙🪽 I know she’s making Savy proud too. 💚🪽Love you miss bird even if you decided to break my finger on the leash during photos 😂 I still love you my girl. 💜

Thank you, @nellosgirl and @redthemali , for coming out to judge our trial. We truly appreciate you both! I’m always looking for ways to grow and improve my handling and training, so I’m incredibly grateful for your thoughtful feedback and fair judging.

Birdy - PSA 1 WD - 1st leg - OB 95/100 & PRO 191.5/220 - 3rd place PSA 1 & High Obedience

As this trial comes to an end, I just want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who played a part in this journey and in this trial.

A huge thank you to our judge, Ben Lepinski, for your time, professionalism, and for giving every team a fair opportunity to showcase their hard work. Your feedback is truly appreciated. We can’t wait to have you out next year as one of our decoys.

To all of the decoys, thank you. Your skill, consistency, and countless hours on the field make these trials possible. You challenge our dogs, keep everyone safe, and are an invaluable part of this sport. We appreciate you all so much. Shaun, Kevin, Alex, Jadon, Kyle, Matt, Phillip, Jake, Austin and Tommy.

To my UK9BG PSA club, thank you for every training session, every piece of advice, every laugh, and for always pushing me forward in times when I feel lost. This journey wouldn’t have been possible without your support. Thank you. Stan, Tammy, Shay, Bray, Kevin, Melissa, Wade, Olya, Brad, Mick, Shaun, Kristin, Alex, Shayla, Colette and Bryan.

To my IGP club Inferno Canine, thank you for believing in Birdy and me, for always supporting my journeys, and for keeping me grounded. Your encouragement has meant more than you all know. Thank you for the countless hours of help and shared knowledge as well. Cass, Dallas, Dani, Dom, Kasey, Chris and Debbie!

To my Thursday evening “S&$@ Dog Handlers Club”… thank you for being my people. Thank you for the laughs when training gets frustrating, the encouragement when things don’t go as planned, the honest feedback, and for always showing up for me no matter what dog or goals I have. You’ve made the tough days easier and the good days even better. I couldn’t ask for a better group of friends to share this crazy journey with. Determined and Delusional for the win. Thank you ladies. Melissa, Olya, Tammy, and Dani.

Miss bird building up that toy drive and commitment. ❤️

🎥 @missolyab by @angrybird092920

Progress today other than I had yummy smelly treat smell all over my hands so she just wanted them and not the boring kibble in the treat n trains. 😂 lessoned learned. Use toys or keep the food the same. Good girl miss bird. 💜 by @angrybird092920

Looking for help or suggestions……I’m wondering what everyone is using for agitation muzzles for their smaller dogs? Birdy is a 55lb GSD with a shorter muzzle and smaller head. Most agitation muzzles don’t fit her. This one pictured was one I tried on and seemed decent but they no longer make them in small so I’m not able to get one. What are people using ? Thanks all! Tagging @bray.n.dogs because she’s looking too. 🤣 by @angrybird092920

A Halloween evening learning to stay on the bowl as we move learn our hand directionals look, right, left and behind. She’s picking it up quick so we can move to treat and trains next set 💜 such a good girlie. by @angrybird092920

Thursday training days are back full force. All the dogs did great tonight. Miss bird worked on being more forward in the harness and commitment to her barking on the toy. We also did some change of positions and recalls and a few reps for her side transport for both IGP and PSA. It was a fun night. Thank you @missolyab @mwaters1999 and @2wheelsyyc for recording. by @angrybird092920

Miss bird is really loving this fended game with @decoy.kev ! Thanks Kev.
