Finished this grid drawing assignment for my analytical drawing class. Did I lose my sanity in the process? A little. This is my largest fully rendered graphite drawing to date. The paper is 18” by 24” (cluttered table for size reference). The drawing itself is 16” by 20”. Carnations are my favorite flower, but I am so tired of looking at this image because of how long it took to draw it. I have two more grid drawings due this semester (another 18” by 24” and a 11” by 14”). I don’t think I’m going to make the other two this realistic because I don’t think I would finish them before the end of the semester. by @anissa_does_art

When I tell you this project took me forever, I mean it. I started it last year around this time. Yes, I took a lot of long breaks during this project, but it was still intense nonetheless. I am obsessed with the outcome of this sculpture even though it’s not flawless. I have dedicated so many hours to this project that it has been a significant part of my life this past year, so seeing it finally finished is rewarding.

What will my next major project be? Not a clue, but I somehow doubt it will be more intense than this. by @anissa_does_art

Trying to cheer up my sick grandpa by surprising him with a drawing of his dog (who passed a long time ago). (My grandpa doesn’t have Instagram, so I can post this here.) by @anissa_does_art

I rarely finish my sketchbooks before I start a new one, so I feel like this is an accomplishment for me 😅

Though the signs of summer are ablaze everywhere I look, I feel the weight of an internal winter. Despite the bitter cold, I trust that beneath the snow, the flowers lie dormant, not dead. I trust that they will bloom again soon. by @anissa_does_art

Art I made today in response to the spiritual attack I’ve been going through the past few days. The enemy is trying to take me down because I am a threat to him now. I refuse to fall. I will stand my ground. 🌱 by @anissa_does_art
