meet me at midnight #2026 #nye by @anissaajf

One year ago today i lost the greatest laugh that i have ever known, the sweetest soul that has ever graced this planet, and the biggest heart that was filled with so much love. To my happy grandpa thank you for being the best grandfather, father and human I have ever known. To learn how to love life and live by you was one of the best things I have ever experienced . To say goodbye to someone who has been there my whole life was one of the hardest things i’ve ever had to do. I hope you’re dancing, drinking, singing and most importantly laughing it up there in heaven alongside grams. I hope you’re watching us in that big bright blue sky up there. It’s been 365 days since i’ve heard your laugh and it’s a sound that I will miss for a lifetime.

To Big Sister Little Sister,

“Success Through Sisterhood”

Thank you for the laughs, the memories & the experiences we shared together for the last 3 years. This organization stole my heart from day one and I am eternally grateful for the friendships and sisters I have gained through it. As an only child who wasn’t fortunate enough to grow up with siblings I am grateful that I get to call you girls my sisters for life.

To the Fuller-Jean-Felix administration, thank you for allowing me to serve as your Vice President this past year. There is no one else I would have wanted to have as my first executive board. Thank you for teaching me what it means to be a leader and a listener. I have a very special place in my heart for each and every one of you and I couldn’t be happier to leave this organization in all of you lovely ladies’ hands.

To my big @_liyaaahhhh_ & my little @anayaarii, thank you for joining the best family this organization has ever seen and for welcoming me with open arms. I will always be cheering both of you on in your future endeavors and know that no matter how far I am you can always depend on me. To my bonus bigs @jada_u @_.bonitabree @jascashmiere, thank you for believing in me every step of the way and for being shoulders to cry on. I miss you three more than you know but just know you have touched my life in more ways than one. God knew what he was doing when he gave me you three & you have made my FSU experience the best experience I could have ever had. I love each & every one of you.

To Florida State University,
Thank you for the lessons, the laughs & the memories these past 3 years. I thank God for giving me the chance to make life long friendships with the people I have met along this journey, and for teaching me skills like leadership, ambition and confidence that I will take with me into this next chapter of my life. I want to thank everyone who got me through all the trials, tribulations, and hardships that shaped me into the successful woman I am today. To @fsu_bsls, @fsufli, @iotadelta_royalcourt, @renegadesocietyfsu, @fsu_bsu, @_fsunaacp, @fsulae, and @fsuambassadors, thank you for being my home away from home and for teaching me that through hard work and determination you can accomplish everything you want and more. I know now more than ever that making the decision to attend THE Florida State University was the right one.
