Unimaginable.

First, please look into how the people are treated and abused in the sugar cane plantations that we get our sugar from.

Second, I really didn't expect this trip to impact me as much as I did. It sounds cliche but it really opened my eyes to the blessed life we have in the US. These people work 24/7 while making only 12 dollars a month, eating only one meal a day causing them to be extremely malnourished. Despite all of this, they are nothing but happy. When given things such as snacks, candy, and water the first thing they would try and do is share, even though they had little to go home to. They brought me pure joy when all they wanted was to hug, to play, and to be loved. I met some of the most amazing people, not only in the bateyes but also our translators and friends. I love all of them and I know I'll see them again. God really showed up.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable sacrifice."
