It’s fangirl time. 😭🩷 I can’t even believe I’m saying this but I had the pleasure of meeting Hannah Shaw today and thanking her for her work. Her talk at the @catloversfestival was amazing, and educational and inspiring as she always is.
The meet n greet and q+a was so wonderful, small and intimate, casual and comfortable. Happy to say she loved my tshirt and enjoyed hearing it was from her friend’s cat cafe in New York @meowparlour 🩷
Most wholesome time. 10/10. Sorry for crying the entire time @kittenxlady 😅🩷

Despite my rational brain understanding that no one lives forever and eventually we will all pass on, somehow the irrational part of my brain believed my grandad to be immortal, invincible. He was so fit, and overcame every health struggle. So I just felt like this time would never come. But it has.

He was really the coolest and smartest guy. As a teenager, he built a sail boat (pictured) with his friends (also pictured), and sailed to Australia for a working holiday. You know how they got there? He had learnt all the stars and constellations and then taught himself (!!!) celestial navigation, 🌟 so he just looked at the stars as a map. Is that not unbelievable dang. He could build anything, fix anything, invent anything, play any instrument, learn anything. Even learnt that his nickname among his friends was “skill” because he was just so skilled. Dang. Genuinely an incredible guy. ⛵️
every cat loved him too. Every cat was his cat, really. I think he’s where I got my cat-magnetism from. 🐱

And can we just take a moment to appreciate how incredibly good looking he was? 🤯

Believe it or not, even though he was 98, he was taken from us too soon.
I’m grateful I had him in my life for so long. 🩷 by @anneka.f

Just some bits of this silly little life that made me happy enough to immortalise them this year. 🫶🏻🩷

A dream come true to spend time in the gem exhibit at the museum of natural history in New York, biggest thanks to @fat_vegan and @muddysaiyan for taking us. I could spend a week in this section I think. It’s unreal. The most incredible minerals, fossils, crystals, gems, rocks and meteorites you’ve ever seen! 🥰 I can’t express how much I loved this and I could look at these photos forever.
