There is a week every year when the air turns crisp in the morning and the house goes warm by teatime. It is here. 🍂

It changes what a home is for. Less a place you pass through, more a place you settle into. And settling in, we think, is better done in company.

Here at anornament, the little ones are ready. Each has been fussed over at our workbench, one small face at a time, and every one of them is rather hoping to be somebody’s now. A corner of their own, and someone to keep company through the colder months.

Welcome in, autumn. And welcome them in too.

Bringing to life The Meadow Wooden Honey Drizzler - The Honey Keeper 🍯

A new companion has wandered into The Meadow collection, a hand-carved wooden drizzler with a small bear perched at the top, dressed in a green coat and a ribbon tied just so. One wears coral, the other gold.

There is a sound a honey jar makes when the lid comes off. A soft catch, then a give. Most of us have stopped hearing it. He hears it every time.

He is there for the lift. He is there for the turn. He is there for the last golden thread that refuses to let go of the spoon. Breakfast is not a task he is helping you complete. It is the thing he came for.

Now available at anornament.com, ready to take up his post beside your honey jar.

Looking for a meaningful way to bring your dog’s spirit into your home, whether as a keepsake, a heartfelt gift, a wooden figure for your shelf, or a special ornament for your Christmas tree? 🎄🐾
That’s exactly what we create: hand-carved wooden pieces inspired by beloved dog breeds, each one shaped with care to capture the quirks, character, and charm you adore.

Every figure or ornament can be personalised with your pup’s name on a tiny wooden tag, turning it into a treasure that feels truly yours - something to keep, to gift, and to cherish year after year. ✨

From loyal companions to cheeky little troublemakers, each piece is crafted with the hope that it reminds someone of the dog who made their world brighter.

And now, as our wooden family continues to grow, we’re dreaming up the next addition… and we’d love your ideas.

Which breed would you like to see us carve next? 🐶💛

Knock, knock. Trick or treat? 🎃

No answer.

Nobody has lived in the old manor for a very long time. The windows are boarded, the gate is rusted shut, and the bats come and go as they please.

And yet, every year on this one night, the cats come out.

No one ever sees them arrive. They are simply there at dusk, sitting at the door as if they never left, eyes glowing a little too knowingly. Three of them like to climb on top of one another for a better look at whoever has come knocking.

By morning they are gone again, back to wherever it is they go.

If you see one on your doorstep tonight, best to be polite. And if one should follow you home, we won’t tell. They’re waiting at anornament.com.

Happy Halloween from all of us at anornament 🎃

Anyone who lives with a cat already knows the world revolves around them. These five have simply made it official.

One has claimed Venus, one the Earth, one Mars, one Mercury, and one, naturally, the moon.

The clocks have gone back, the evenings belong to them now, and with Halloween at the end of the week, the one on the moon is feeling particularly pleased with herself.

Which one rules your house?

Boo! One day to go.

The leaves are coming down, the evenings are growing darker, and a few of our little friends have been practising their spookiest faces all week. They're still not very good at it.

Tomorrow they'll be waiting for you at the @villageandcouk Indoor Market in the Howard Centre. Come in from the chilly weather, say hello, and see if one of them has been saving a place in your home.

Saturday 24 October, 10am to 4pm
Howardsgate, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6HA

See you tomorrow 🎃

Every spot in its own place, and not one of them where you’d expect.

Spotted dogs are born pure white. The spots only arrive after a week or two, one by one, as if the puppy is slowly deciding who it wants to be.

Outside, the leaves are changing colour by the day. He did his changing once, long ago, and has been perfectly happy with the result ever since.

A lovely thing to give anyone who has ever loved a spotted dog, or to keep for yourself.

He has found something. He is not entirely sure what, but he is delighted about it.

The Little Sniffer has taken up his post on the shelf for the season, nose working overtime and ears ready for news. Every walk is an adventure to him, and October smells better than any other month of the year.

A cheerful little companion for whichever corner needs a bit more joy.

Nose up, and something interesting on the air.

The Woodland Scout has caught the scent of the season: woodsmoke, wet leaves and somebody’s roast in the oven three doors down. He would very much like to investigate, but he has agreed to keep watch from the table instead.

A good companion for a quiet corner as the weather turns.

Long in the body, short in the leg, and entirely sure of himself.

Autumn suits The Merry Barker rather well. Russet red or a smart black and tan, both with their noses in the air, as if something wonderful is about to happen.

Which one looks like yours?

He looks the serious type. Then you notice the tongue.

The Quiet Protector has claimed the end of the shelf for the season, keeping a loyal eye on the mushrooms and anyone who passes. Stern when he needs to be, soft as anything the rest of the time, which anyone who has lived with a dog like him will tell you is entirely true to life.

Give him a spot by the bookshelf or the front window, and he will see you through the colder months.

Somebody has to keep an eye on the pumpkins.

The Little Guardian has taken up his post for the season. Broad shoulders, a determined chin, and a quiet way of making a room feel looked after.

He would like a corner of your home for the colder months, and he will not ask for much in return.
