I really don’t even know how to put this into words. Seeing Jon perform live from the front row with my bam bam jacket on my lap was one of the most incredible things I have ever experienced. He was completely captivating the entire time and I genuinely never wanted it to end. His portrayal of Sonny was just unforgettable and the August Wilson Theatre itself is so beautiful and cozy. Multiple members of the cast came out at stage door and they were all absolutely wonderful, every single one of them. There was also an 81 year old man sitting next to me who had actually worked on the original movie, which was such a cool and unexpected experience. My phone decided to fully betray me there AND at stage door, so my pictures are not what I wanted them to be. And listen, stage door was so nerve wracking that I was genuinely just trying not to throw up, so I’ll take what I can get 😭 Jon was so incredibly sweet the few seconds I got to speak to him and I will never forget it.
