🏁PETIT LE MAN🏁

Not the weekend we we’re hoping for. With only 1 team finishing the race we learn from this weekend. Not all special events or endurances can end well, now it’s time to look forward to the upcoming races.

Besides the DNF’s we are proud off all drivers that participated this special and a extra congratulation on team 3 for gaining all the way to P4 in the morning top split.

🏆Podium filled weekend🏆

Road Atlanta🏁
The weekend got kicked off early by J.T. driving the Cadillac GTP on the amazing circuit of Road Atlanta. Starting from P10 he managed to climb up the grid and finish in P3🥉

In the evening split we’ve gathered 3 teams. Robin, Max and J.T. went out and gave it their all with a result fot Max finishing on first place🏆 Robin also gain a lot of spots but just missed out on the podium ending up P4. J.T. had a less progressive race, he dropped down to P7 from P4.

Nordschleife🌲
2 teams also went in the evening split of the Nürburgring Endurance Championship. Albert Priem started off in topsplit. He gained few spots in a high pace race starting P15 and finishing just outside on P11.

Team 2 had a rough start dropping back on the start to P4 but quickly in the race they managed to fight back for P1. The fight resulted in a finish on the highest steps, P1🏆

Sunday there we’re only 2 teams driving the Nords. J.T. started close to the back but had a great comeback to the midfield. He finished in P26.

Jeffrey and Jurgen had quite a tough sunday. Starting from P2 they had a few issues wich dropped them back to P23.

Up next? The 24 hours of Le Man in the Global Endurance Tour. Let’s get ready for the last 24 hours series for this season.

🚨WEEK 7 ✅🚨

Last weeks IMSA Endurance Series was quite a busy one with participation of 8 teams. Let’s walk through them.

Saturday:

SRT 1 started the weekend of as the strongest. They managed to claim the highest step of the podium and secured wich means P1. They fought hard for the position where the p1 in front them forced themself into a mistake because of the pressure they’ve put out.

SRT 2 had a bit of a unfortunate race as they’re pitcrew forgot the fuelhose wich set them back multiple laps. With eyes on the podium this result felt extra though.

SRT 3 also had a hard race with multiple incidents. The pace was there but due to the dropdown of the incidents Jos still managed to claim P8.

SRT 4 was our LMP2 team. Levi had a dificult race where thraffic wasn’t on his side. Starting from P2 with some good pace Levi also had eyes on the podium but luck ran out and Levi still secured a P5 finish.

SRT 5 had a rough qualify wich resulted in a race start in P13. With some high pace they managed to gain back multiple position and secure P4 in the last lap.

Sunday:

SRT 1 had a promising race. The high race pace Jos had was a deciding factor in his finishing position wich contains a P5 finish.

SRT 2 had a bad race with multiple incidents what led to a minus 5 laps to the leader. Losing the front bumper twice and a rear bumper once, repair times went up to a good 8 minutes.

SRT 3 had a hard race with some unlucky traffic deciding the position Stefan finished in. With mulitple damages containing multiple repairs Stefan still claim a top 10 finish wich he pulled over the line in P9.

Driver in de spotlight: Albèrt Priem 🏁

Maak kennis met Albèrt Priem, 51 jaar en inmiddels niet alleen een vaste kracht, maar ook eigenaar van DLR. Al vier jaar lang is hij een onmisbare schakel in het team, waarbij hij de stap heeft gemaakt van vaste rijder naar een meer verantwoordelijke rol achter de schermen — zonder zijn passie voor racen te verliezen.

Met ruim 20 jaar simrace-ervaring brengt Albèrt een enorme dosis kennis, rust en inzicht mee. In het dagelijks leven is hij rij-instructeur voor auto en motor, trotse vader van twee kids, fanatiek wielrenner en liefhebber van games zoals iRacing, BF6 en ETS2. Genieten van het leven staat daarbij centraal.

Zijn favoriete wapen op de baan is de Cadillac GTP. Albèrts grootste kracht is zijn race-craft: slim, berekend en constant racen. Wat hij nog wil verbeteren is pure één-ronde-snelheid. In een team hecht hij veel waarde aan inzet en betrokkenheid. Zijn hoogtepunt blijft de 10 uur van Petit Le Mans vorig jaar: de laatste 30 minuten zonder licht, in de regen, en toch P3 finishen met de Caddy GTP — een legendarisch moment. Favoriete banen zijn Sebring, Portimão en Sonoma. 🌧️🔥 by @stroopwafelracingteam

Dan vindt je tijdens het opruimen een jersey die je 10 jaar geleden (als het niet langer is) ook al had. De originele @strava jersey! Mooie is dat het makkelijk past na al die jaren, sterker nog... tikkie te groot misschien 🎉😃
Ben dan ook ruim 10 kilo afgevallen afgelopen tijd 💪🏻
