On November 6, I’ll be joining Prof. Lateef Mtima at UC Irvine School of Law for the Institute for Intellectual Property and Social Justice’s MOSAIC 2026 conference. We’ll be discussing what happens when cultural knowledge moves into AI systems, who has the authority to decide what moves with it, and the role digital public infrastructure can play. Prof. Mtima’s work in IP social justice has long focused on ownership, access, and economic inclusion. At AXM, we’re addressing the infrastructure side of that same challenge: making consent, attribution, licensing, and compensation verifiable so creators and communities retain authority over how their work is used by AI. Looking forward to connecting these conversations. November 6 | 3:30–5 PM PT In person + virtual Register: https://iipsj.org/programs/annual-mosaic-conference by @archdvs
The last chapter of my career was helping artists build careers, tell stories, protect their work and create value from culture. That work is what led me here. As AI started changing how creative work is made, used and monetized, I kept coming back to a pretty basic problem: the systems moving at machine speed still don’t have a reliable way to know who actually has the authority to say yes. Identity can tell you who someone is. It doesn’t tell you what they own, what they control, what they’ve consented to, or what they should be paid for. That’s why we built AXM. We’re building infrastructure that makes authority, consent, licensing and payment verifiable and enforceable in AI and digital environments. I didn’t leave music behind. I followed the problem upstream for my next chapter. On September 2, I’ll be giving a keynote at Identity Week in Washington, D.C. about that shift and why I believe authorship and authority are becoming critical layers of digital infrastructure. by @archdvs

Tomorrow I’ll be speaking at Flux Festival in LA — part of Copyforward: AI, IP, and the fight for creative control. We’re in a moment where AI can generate faster than the system can account for who created what. That gap is where value gets lost… and where power shifts. Looking forward to being in the room with @mozillafoundation @semt.usc @uscgouldlaw and people actually building the future of this.
