Neon is vanity’s favourite colour. It flatters everyone and forgives no one. That night I watched a whole city fall in love with its own reflection, myself included… and somewhere between the mirror and the music, it stopped feeling like a sin. We are vain because we are afraid of disappearing. And for one night, none of us did. by @argyworld

Fast transitions, slow digestion. China got me…the food, the people, the sheer audacity of a civilisation that has been thriving since before my country invented democracy. I didn’t leave. I was temporarily exported. Back soon. 🧿 by @argyworld

🇨🇳 What does it mean to be truly civilised? Not the performance of progress, but the quiet certainty of a people who have already answered that question — centuries ago — and have simply been living the answer ever since. China does not move fast because it is chasing something. It moves fast because it is already there. The food is placed before you not as gesture, but as conviction — that to feed another is not kindness, it is duty, and duty here is sacred. You do not feel welcomed in China. You feel recognised. As if belonging was never yours to earn, but theirs to extend. A people this rooted in who they are have no need to prove it. And perhaps that is the most radical thing a civilisation can do — to be so wholly itself, that everyone who encounters it briefly becomes, without asking, a part of it. by @argyworld

By the sea, a week before their love was sealed, I sat with friends and laughter, and the horizon reminded me: true connection moves like waves; steady, unforced, inevitable. Life offers no joy in fragments or shallow waters. I walk with those who bring depth, with moments that breathe, with bonds that make the soul feel whole. by @argyworld

The city’s rhythm, a symphony of relentless motion. So too is the body, a vessel of potential to be pushed, refined and redesigned. The fuel we consume and the effort we exert are not just for survival, but for a deeper understanding of our own limits and strengths. How do you find your balance in the pursuit of both? by @argyworld

Summers feel like home - Summer, perhaps, is not merely a season but a temporal canvas upon which our most cherished memories are painted, thus transforming it into a perpetually idealised ‘home’ within the landscape of recollection. by @argyworld
