There she was, his Hermione, sprawled across her desk, exhausted from another sleepless night juggling the duties as the new Minister of Magic. Harry softly ran his fingers over her hair, marveling at how it shone with warm, golden hues from the rays of morning sunlight.

“Sweet dreams, Minister,” he whispered as he picked up her coat and lightly draped it over her shoulders.

It would take time for her to settle into her new duties, but he would be with her every step of the way.

Imagine if Rhaenyra and Daemon had gotten together earlier, they could have avoided so much loss, bloodshed, and tragedy 😩

Sketch of one of my fave HOTD commissions! Bonus: swipe to the 3rd slide to see how atrocious the initial sketch was 🫣.
Is anyone watching the new season? I haven’t caught up on S3 yet but I’m hearing some crazy things 👀

When one cozy evening leads to a surprising confession… 🍁
_______

Crookshanks hated when people petted him, but for some reason Harry was an exception.

“You know what?” Harry said, as he and Hermione leaned against each other near one of the Gryffindor common room’s large windows overlooking Hogwarts’ grounds. Hermione was engrossed in other one of her dusty tomes from the library and Harry Potter was combing through Crookshanks’ fur.

“What?” Hermione shifted her body so her head could rest more comfortably on his shoulder.

“I think Crookshanks likes me.”

Hermione seemed unperturbed as she flipped another page. “Are you just figuring this out now?”

“I guess I never realized just how much of an exception I was.” Harry remarked, amused. “Some girls tried to approach me yesterday and he damn near bared his teeth at them until they ran away.”

At that, Hermione finally paused her reading. “Maybe he’s just trying to protect you from those “Chosen One” fanatics.”

“Or maybe he’s staking a claim for his owner.”

Hermione’s ears turned slightly red.

“Crookshanks is just a very good judge of character. He’s only comfortable with the people he considers his own.”

Harry smiled. “Just like you?”

Her ears were bright red at this point. She hummed in response, but Harry knew her well enough to realize when she was feigning nonchalance. His hand stroking Crookshanks paused, and as he once again looked down at Hermione leaning against him, he was struck by how the setting sun reflected on her brown hair.

Almost as if possessed, he raised his hand to brush away the curly strands that had fallen in front of her eyes. Hermione froze, but relaxed as he twirled the ends of her hair around his fingers.

After some period of time (it could have been a minute or an hour, Harry couldn’t tell), Hermione finally spoke up.

“Well,” she said, in a voice that sounded like a confession. “Maybe Crookshanks and I are more similar than I thought after all.”

Draw with me using the new Huion Kamvas 16 Pro V2! ✍️

@huiontablet was kind enough to send me this tablet to review, and as a longtime iPad girly, this was my first time using a display tablet. I’ve been drawing on it for like 4 weeks now and I’m really enjoying the experience of a bigger drawing screen compared to my iPad Pro! 👏

Pros:
- The screen: the 15.6’’ is big enough to allow for a comfortable drawing area without being super bulky. I love how vibrant the colours are and the matte, paper-like texture is sooo satisfying to draw on ✨
- The pen: I was nervous about switching from the apple pencil, but the PenTech 4.0 pen is AMAZING to draw with! It’s super responsive, has great pressure sensitivity + tilt and feels really natural 👌

Cons:
- The screen is only HD (1920x1080). Personally, I couldn’t even tell so this did not bother me. It’s also the more budget-friendly option, but if you prefer higher resolution, there are 2.5K/4K versions available! 🫡
- The 3-in-1 cable can be a little annoying to use (especially if you are using the tablet on different devices and move around a lot). I really wish there was only one cable to deal with but this didn’t impact the drawing experince itself 😔

Setup was pretty straight forward, though I did run into some issues with calibrating the pen while using clip studio. Thankfully, there are a TON of tutorials for quick troubleshooting available on youtube/reddit and I was able to fix this easily 🙏

Overall, I’m loving this tablet so far!! I’ve always wanted to try a bigger screen tablet and I think the Kamvas Pro 16 V2 made the switch from an iPad super smooth. I’m excited to continue using it, especially for making larger illustrations! 🤭

Thank you again to @huiontablet ❤️
