After much deliberation & going back and forth I’ve decided to start a bandcamp page & share my new Spirits Of The Deep EP on my @arktoashes label digitally. There’s no point in only 300 people out of 8 billion having access to my music. That being said, grab the record because vinyl can never be replaced. We’ve got some copies at @flipsidedxb and you can still find the record at all good record shops. The tracks on bandcamp are the “vinyl” masters as I felt that the digital masters were a little too compressed. I’ll be uploading more goodies to the bandcamp page in the near future as well. Absolutely crushed to hear about the untimely passing of my brother & dear friend Jay Haze. I met Jay in Berlin around 2004. We spent a lot of time in his studio just hanging and listening to music. Instantly it felt like we had known each other for ages. Jay also introduced me to Michal Ho. Who also became a very good friend and collaborator. I ended up living in Michal’s Attic briefly when I moved to Zurich. Massively grateful to our friendship. Years later I was honered to have released The Lost Future under his Dub Surgeon alias on @arktoashes . Even though it was the most experimental & “out there” release on the label is still to this day the highest selling release. Selling 1000 copies of the album is no easy feat. I’ll always cherish the great memories as well as the not so great ones. Hope you’re finally at peace my brother 🤍👑 by @shadimegallaa

To wrap up the EP is the A2 track titled The Poet. A tribute to the Palestinian poet Refaat Alareer who was killed on Dec 6th, 2023. More so a tribute to the every Palestinian who has lost their lives for the past 76 years. 🇵🇸 by @shadimegallaa

Shadi Megallaa - Spirits Of The Deep (ARK009) has finally arrived. It’s my first full length EP of original music. I’ve been putting in a lot of work in the studio & I’m very proud to share this record with everyone. This is the audio clip of the B1 track titled “Microgravity”. I’ll be sharing the rest of the ep in the coming days. The official release date is on June 22nd. Only 300 copies are getting pressed of this so you’ll have to act fast.
