“Stop drinking crappy matcha!” Seriously! If your matcha tastes bitter, muddy, and looks like swamp water, you’re drinking the wrong stuff! We just got in this beautiful Saemidori matcha, straight from Kagoshima, Japan! Saemidori is a Japanese tea cultivar prized for its vibrant emerald-green color, natural sweetness, and incredibly smooth flavor. It’s rich, creamy, packed with umami, and has very little bitterness. And look at that color! That’s what beautiful matcha should look like! Because once you’ve tasted what real, high-quality matcha should be, there’s no going back. Come experience the difference at Aroma Tea Shop! #saemidorimatcha #ceremonialgradematcha #aromateashop by @aromateashop

🎤🦆🍵 I LOVE DUCK SHIT OOLONG! 💩😂 Who says tea experts can’t have a little fun? 😂 Here’s my latest musical parody of Sabrina Carpenter’s hit “Espresso” — rewritten and performed by yours truly! From cha siu bao to har gow, chicken feet to xiao long bao… and of course, the legendary Duck Shit Oolong (鴨屎香)! 🦆🍵 Yes, it’s a real tea. Yes, it’s delicious. And yes, I actually made a song about it. 🤣 🎵 Lyrics & vocals: Me 🎶 Original song: “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter If this doesn’t make you crave dim sum and a good cup of oolong, I don’t know what will! Five new awesome teas just landed! 🍃 Da Yu Ling • Oriental Beauty Oolong • Lu An Gua Pian • Jin Jun Mei • Orchid Oolong (Nan Hua Xiang) Three from Taiwan, two from China—which one do you want to try first? 🍵 #AromaTeaShop #NewArrivals #TeaLovers by @aromateashop
Yep, this tea is really called Duck Shit Oolong—Ya Shi Xiang. And don’t worry, no ducks were involved in the production of this tea. Supposedly, some growers gave it that name to keep people from stealing their tea plants. Pretty clever reverse marketing: give your tea a name that makes people hesitate, and keep the good stuff for yourself. But once you brew it, the name makes a lot less sense. You get this beautiful floral aroma, a smooth, rich taste, and a really nice lingering finish. Click the below to purchase a few ounces of Duck Shit Oolong! by @aromateashop
Our first Tea Masters gig with Autodesk! We served Guava Cloud Matcha, Mango Sunset Tea, and Passion Fruit Jasmine Tea—and somehow the night ended with me singing karaoke. You know I couldn’t say no 🎤🧋#tea #aromateashop #teamasters #newteacompany #autodesk by @aromateashop
Whenever people ask me where I get my tea, I tell them: I go directly to the source. I’m back in Guangzhou, in the Fangcun tea district, visiting Mr. Go and his wife, Ah Siu. I started working with them about twenty years ago. Today, we’re still sitting together, tasting tea and choosing what comes back to Aroma Tea Shop. This isn’t ordering tea from a catalog. We smell the dry leaves, taste each infusion, compare different batches, and decide what is worth buying. Much of my Pu’er comes directly from Mr. Go and Ah Siu, along with different oolongs and other special finds. After more than twenty years in this business, I still believe good tea starts with good people and good relationships. And this is how I bring the best tea back home. #aromateashop #fangcunteamarket #weworkin #tea by @aromateashop

Fuck these mosquitoes!!! 🦟🦟🦟😂 The shit I sacrifice for you guys… Flying halfway across the world to Guangzhou, China 🇨🇳, walking through the heat and humidity, getting eaten ALIVE by mosquitoes — all so I can visit the tea markets, meet suppliers, taste teas, and hunt down some amazing teas to bring back for you guys. 🍵 This is what goes on behind the scenes when you import your own tea. I don’t just sit at home and order from a catalog — I come straight to the source. So next time you’re drinking a cup from Aroma Tea Shop, just remember… some of that tea cost me a little bit of blood. 🩸😂🦟 #AromaTeaShop #TeaHunting #Guangzhou #ChinaTea #TeaSourcing by @aromateashop
So happy that my daughter stopped by to visit me at the shop today and it was super busy, like nonstop busy…cause I guess it’s because it’s Labor Day Weekend! And yes …that cute little girl in the poster on the door is her when she was 4 years old ..and now she’s 22 years old and a Bay Area realtor!! Time goes by just like that ..and they grow up so fast 😢🥹 #daddyatwork #daddyslilgirl #aromateashop by @aromateashop
