Unofficially, today is Wife Appreciation Day ¥ ¥ ¥ …but officially, EVERYDAY is My Wife’s Appreciation Day. Because without @fabgal_kari, (in my @sisqo voice) “My life is incompleeeeeeteee…ohhhhh yeeaaah!”😂🎤 And if I’m being honest, I’ll never be able to fully repay her for her grace and the unconditional love she’s shown me over the years. I know that sounds like lyrics from an Isley Brothers record but it’s a million times true. Things could’ve gone so differently had she not chosen us EVERYDAY since day one. She stood beside me through all my growing pains and loved me through every version of myself. She’s my peace. That’ll ALWAYS be enough🥹 So yes, today may be Wife Appreciation Day unofficially, but appreciating and honoring Mrs. Midnite could never - and will never - be limited to one day, officially♾️🖤🔐🕛 ¥ ¥ ¥ #wifeappreciationday #mrsmidnite #mygirl #bestfriend #myeverything by @aroundmidnite

MIDNITE@MICHAEL’S - EP1.8 - WHATEVER… ¥ ¥ ¥ MIDNITE WHO? FOREVER x #MidniteWho 🎬x @instaspacestudio 🥁x @aiiiyann ¥ ¥ ¥ BACKSTORY: In 2019, when I let my good friend @hendrixwinston78 listen to some early demos for my EP HERO, she said (and I quote): “Those sound good, but where’s Chelsea?” Up to that point, Chels and I had been literally tied at the hip when it came to making music and performing, so Martisa’s question wasn’t far-fetched. I don’t remember how I answered it then, but I can say now - without any uncertainty or ambiguity - that my bruised ego is why she wasn’t. Sure we had a disagreement (about what I can’t remember exactly), but to back away from and hold a grudge against the first person who really believed in me when it came to this music thing was childish and irresponsible. She said the first time she heard my beats in @kelvin_wu10’s production class she knew we could do damage. And the more she brought me to her shows and wrote to the music I made, the more I believed. Even more than that, she was the first person to call me Midnite Michael without laughing right after saying it. I can’t believe I let one moment of hurt get in the way of all that🥺 Since then, we’ve matured in our own ways (thank God😂) both on and off the mic. So much so that the first beat I played for her to write to for this episode (🫡 Aiyan) is the one we both fell in love with immediately, which is something that NEVER used to happen! I guess that’s why we’ll be rockin’ forever🕛🦉 ¥ ¥ ¥ WHAT IS MIDNITE@MICHAEL’S? Midnite@Michael’s is an intimate live music experience that blends the soul of Tiny Desk with the raw artistry of MTV Unplugged. Centered around songs I’ve written (or co-written), it’s a space where original music comes to life through collaboration and connection - each performance featuring one of my friends, singers and artists in their own right, stepping into the spotlight to interpret the songs in their own way. Every session is part concert, part sonic conversation — an invitation into the chemistry that happens when artists vibe and create something unforgettable. ¥ ¥ ¥ #midniteatmichaels #midnitemichael #chelseawho #beatsandballads by @aroundmidnite
