I’m so thankful to say that Scholastic Art & Writing has presented me with a prestigious gold medal at New York City’s Carnegie Hall for my original piece of art.

“This year, more than 110,000 teens from U.S. territories, Canada, and every state in the nation participated in the Awards, entering more than 335,000 works for adjudication. Nearly 92,000 regional awards were presented to 50,000 teens, and more than 2,500 works received national medals with less than 1% of total participants winning a national gold award.

These teens join the ranks of esteemed Awards alumni including Ken Burns, Kay WalkingStick, Sylvia Plath, Andy Warhol, Charles White, Amanda Gorman, Tschabalala Self, Joyce Carol Oates, and Tracy Reese.”

My first Reclaimed Runways!! Thank you so much @reclaimedrunways for this amazing opportunity. I had such a great time working with you guys to put on this show, meeting artists, and creating memories. My amazing models @c.grubenhoff and @tpakko truly made my vision come to life. I can’t express how much I love you two! @rissaagrace your makeup was fabulous. Thank you @justkam for your photos and @notnotsanti for the videography. You guys did a wonderful job documenting the show. I’m so grateful for having this chance to show my work, and I can’t wait to do it again!
