The northern lights! Here is a first set of aurora borealis images captured on December 31, 2024, in Iceland 🇮🇸 during a magnetic storm. 📷 Canon R8 w/ RF 16 mm f/2.8 STM #auroraborealis #auroraborealisphotography #northernlights #northernlightsphotography #iceland #naturephotography #landscapephotography #landscape #nigthsky #shotoncanon by @arthur.fontan
🇬🇧 : Without a doubt, it was the best night of the year for me to photograph the Milky Way core: no wind, no clouds, and a pristine sky except along the horizon. What a chance to be living in a corner of France where city lights don’t make it too difficult to admire the canopy of heaven. 📸 Canon R8 w/ RF 16 mm f/2.8 STM Stacked & blended 📍Paulinet, Tarn 🇫🇷 Aug 2025 #nature #naturephotography #landscape #landscapephotography #nightskyphotography #astrophotography #astrophoto #nightscape #occitanie #france #tarn #milkywaychasers #milkyway_nightscapes #voielactée #tarntourisme #tourismetarn #milkywaygalaxy #shotoncanon #canonfrance @tourismetarn @canonfrance by @arthur.fontan
Literally « the church mountain, » it is undoubtedly one of the most photographed mountains in Iceland. Its unique geographical location and the ‘Kirkjufellsfossar’ waterfalls contribute to the breathtaking scenery. 📷 Canon R8 w/ RF 16 mm f/2.8 STM Dec 2024 #kirkjufell #mountain #winteriniceland #landscapephotography #landscape #naturephotography #nature #iceland #longexposure #waterfalls #shotoncanon #canonfrance by @arthur.fontan
🇬🇧 : A little two-day, one-night adventure to reach the highest point in Ariège and Catalonia. It was last weekend, a few centimetres of snow having fallen two days earlier. Despite the cold of the night spent at 2,880 metres, the view over the Ariège peaks at sunrise was superb. Definitely worth doing again, but with warmer clothes! The Montcalm massif is the easternmost in the Pyrenees to exceed 3,000 metres before the range gradually descends towards the Mediterranean. 🇬🇧: A two-day, two-night fully self-sufficient trek in the Carlit massif, just to find a bit of cool air and quiet. 🇬🇧: Under the starlight of our universe, the Gorges de l’Hérault lie asleep, watched over by the Château du Géant on the first night of spring. Submitted to the photo contest organized by the Communauté de communes Vallée de l’Hérault as part of the Fête de la Nature. This photograph won 2nd prize in the “Landscapes” category. 🇬🇧: A few photos of the Rigambal Haut buron, located in Aubrac on the Aveyron side. 🇬🇧: Snow-covered fir trees, a sunrise just the way we love it, and an incredible view over the Cévennes… It was my first time climbing to the roof of Lozère, to the summit of Finiels (1699 m), and it certainly won’t be the last! 📸Canon R8 Feb 2026 #lozere #lozerenaturellement #france #occitanie #parcnational #lozeretourisme #montlozere #landscape_captures #landscapephotography #moods_in_frame #earth_shotz #sunrise #winterishere by @arthur.fontan
🇬🇧: When it’s snowing so hard that you can’t see more than 100 metres ahead… Figures then begin to emerge as you move forward. 📸Canon R8 et Dji Mavic 3 classic Jan 2026 #landscape_captures #winterishere #snowfall #aubrac #igersaubrac #occitanie #natgeoyourshot #so_photo #moods_in_frame by @arthur.fontan
🇬🇧: I’ve finally finished processing the images from my last day on the Aubrac plateau. For this first series, I want to share with you this bluish atmosphere as the sunlight was very diffuse, filtered by the clouds. 🇬🇧: Few people take this quiet road along the fjord, yet it leads to stunning viewpoints. Captured at sunset to highlight the snow-covered fjord and its soft pastel tones. 📍Hvalfjarðarvegur, 🇮🇸 📸 Canon R8 w/ 24-105 f/4 #landscape_captures #earth_shotz #iceland #natgeoyourshot #sunset #winter by @arthur.fontan
