It’s the start of a new year, we just hit 3k followers and I realized we’ve never done a proper introduction post… so… Hi! Thanks for following along with all of Arthur’s adventures!

Arthur is an energetic 6 year old border collie husky mix who loves being outside just as much as I do. He’s the kind of dog who’s always up for an outing, whether it’s a long hike, a camping trip, or just exploring areas around home. He enjoys being part of whatever I’m doing, which makes him a great partner for all kinds of activities.

My name is Megan, and I’m a recent university graduate with a lifelong love for the outdoors. I grew up in a rural community where spending time outside wasn’t just a hobby, but a part of everyday life. That upbringing sparked my passion for activities like camping, hiking, swimming and biking. I also grew up very involved in sports, especially triathlons and cross-country and outside of adventuring, I’m a big fan of reading and writing.

We’re based in Manitoba Canada, which means our adventures range from sunny hikes and lake days to snowy trails.

This account started as a way to document our time outdoors together, but it’s grown into sharing dog-friendly travel, everyday adventures, and the little moments in between. Arthur may be the face of it all, but it’s really about getting outside, exploring more, and making the most of where you are (with your dog, if possible).

Now I’d love to hear from you! What do you enjoy most about our adventures and what would you like to see more of? And don’t forget to tell us a little about yourself!

It was a foggy and spooky day-after Halloween 🎃

Hope everyone’s had a good halloweekend and happy Nov 1!

Not a bad view to wake up to 🌅

It is another gorgeous day out and we’ve been so lucky to get so many this fall! It makes summer feel like it lasted just a bit longer ☀️

Happy Friday!

Apparently the comfy camping chair belongs to Arthur now 😂 I guess we might need to think about getting him his own @kumaoutdoor Lazy Bear Dog Chair…

Anyone want to buy us one?👀

This is our favourite little patch of trees because they stay this gorgeous golden colour for so long and are always some of the last to lose their leaves!

Anyways, happy Friday! What are your plans for the weekend?

I’m running my first Half Marathon race this weekend, but unfortunately this is a run that Arthur doesn’t get to join me on! I’m not sure if he could handle over 20k anyways. He’s more of a sprinting guy that doesn’t know how to pace himself for more than a few kilometres.

Looking for somewhere to sneak away for a fall weekend? 🍂 Here’s one to add to your list: the Caddy Lake Tunnels!

We visited in the summer and had such a good time exploring the tunnels and trails around the lake with Arthur. But honestly, I can only imagine how beautiful this area must be now that all of the trees have started changing colours. 🍁🌲

If you’re looking for a day trip or weekend adventure this fall, I’d definitely put this one on your list! And if you’ve been during peak fall colours, I need to know if it’s as gorgeous as I’m imagining 👀

Headed into the city for some nature 🌳 because you don’t always have to escape the city to find a good adventure. Assiniboine park was the perfect pocket of green to explore and it was a relaxing break from the usual routine

Happy Tuesday!

We had to fit in one more paddle board before the weather gets too cold 🍂 There’s something about being out on the water at the end of the season that makes you appreciate these little adventures even more

Still not quite ready to call it for the season 🧡

It’s become a little tradition of ours to go visit this little pond when the trees start turning colours because it makes for the most gorgeous photos!

I absolutely love this time of year but it always goes too quickly. How are you enjoying this time of year before it’s gone?

Because dogs deserve s’mores too!

The start of fall means more bonfires now that the evenings are chilly! Today we made Arthur a little treat using @happydayspet goat cheese treats as a marshmallow and @northerndogtreats biscuits!

The temperature has been dropping! But that doesn’t mean beach days are over!

We actually prefer the beach during the colder temps of spring and fall because it means less people!🤣

What do you think? Are beach days coming to an end or are you still going?

The individually packaged @happydayspet goat milk powders are one of our #1 hiking essentials. Arthur is one of those dogs who is always too excited to get back on the trail to bother with drinking water. Adding some goat milk powder is the best way to entice him to refuel, because he truly loves it!
