New Single ‘Party Wave’ Out Today! “Party Wave” is the leading single off of “Delphinus” – the 3rd album from acclaimed world music duo @jossjaffe & @jimkimowest – To be released March 30th 2026. Featuring instruments from around the world, including Ngoni African harp (a relative of Kora), Indian Tabla drums, South Indian Kanjira frame drum, Ipu Heke Hawaiian Gourd Drum, and Kimo’s signature Hawaiian Slack-Key guitar. The Song immediately starts with an infectious 4 on the floor afro-highlife beat punctuated by Ngoni African Harp and Kimo’s uplifting, tropical guitar sounds.  The song explores the playfulness of Dolphins at home in the underwater world with the song name “Party Wave” playing on the term for a wave surfed by multiple people and also referencing the party-like euphoric feel of this upbeat, happy track.  In addition to being musicians, both West & Jaffe have spent a life in, and close to the water as surfers, swimmers, watermen, divers, and lovers of the majestic ocean. This is their tribute to the ocean and the magical creatures in it, most notably the playful dolphin, master of the waves. Jim “Kimo” West is a Grammy Winning Hawaiian Slack-Key artist and the lead guitarist for “Weird Al” Yankovic. Joss Jaffe is a Billboard Top-10 ambient & world music artist performing and teaching at yoga events and festivals globally. Across The Ocean Out Now! “In ‘Across the Ocean’ the trio find a singular groove that summons the vast ocean under a vaster sky. Flowing chorused guitar melody sets the piece in motion, a drum heaped in considerable reverb deepening the sense of space as it and the guitar begin a slow swaying call-and-response, as if between continents. The texture of Matsui’s shakuhachi adds to the shifting momentum of the piece, like running a hand over raw silk — soft but teeming with organic detail.” – YES/NO MUSIC (UK) “Across The Ocean” is a study in musical dialogue, shaped by listening as much as by expression. The collaboration brings together three artists whose paths span film scoring, world traditions, and contemporary ambient music, yet the result feels unified rather than composite. It unfolds as a shared space, calm and deliberate, where each voice is given room to resonate.” – VISUAL ATELIER 8 Thank you to @yesnomusic for Premiering ‘Across The Ocean’ and @visualatelier8 for the gorgeous review. 【English】 Across The Ocean stands as a testament to musical dialogue beyond borders, uniting artists whose individual legacies span film, world music, and contemporary ambient expression. At the heart of the work is Kazu Matsui, a master of the Japanese shakuhachi whose artistry has resonated across some of the most iconic Hollywood soundtracks of the modern era, including Willow, Jumanji, Empire of the Sun, and Legends of the Fall. His contribution to this recording reflects both technical mastery and a profound sensitivity to space, breath, and silence. In parallel with his film career, Matsui’s role as producer for jazz pianist Keiko Matsui underscores his long-standing influence behind the scenes as a creative architect. Grammy Award recipient Jim “Kimo” West brings decades of musical distinction to the project. Celebrated worldwide for his dedication to Hawaiian slack-key guitar, West’s playing embodies warmth, precision, and melodic clarity. His enduring role as lead guitarist for “Weird Al” Yankovic further reflects a career defined by versatility and artistic longevity. Completing the trio, Joss Jaffe contributes a richly textured global perspective. As a Billboard Top-10 ambient artist and accomplished multi-instrumentalist, Jaffe’s work traverses voice, tabla, ngoni, and diverse percussive traditions, weaving rhythmic subtlety with atmospheric depth. His extensive catalog as a composer and producer has positioned him at the forefront of contemporary world and ambient music. The flute recordings were produced and engineered in Tokyo by Masahiro “HIRO” Nakawaki at Studio MUSE, capturing the nuanced resonance essential to the project’s sonic identity. Serving as Artist Liaison & Cultural Consultant, Yumi Saito, Representative of MILLEBACI, played a pivotal role in bridging cultural and artistic perspectives, enabling an authentic and fluid collaboration between Japanese and international musicians. Released January 26th, 2026 by Artizen Music, Across The Ocean reflects a shared musical language—one shaped by tradition, innovation, and mutual respect.
