Serums I’ve been enjoying lately! These three have been staples in my routine for the past few months so I figured it’s time I tell you about them.

I like to keep multiple serums in my routine because they serve different functions. Generally, I have a serum for hydration, one to aid in protecting my skin (so something with antioxidants) and one or more to treat my current skin concerns. These are the three that I have been rotating through for my a.m. routine.

@versed’s Just Breathe serum (gifted) is what I’ve been using to treat congestion, manage excess oil production and minimize the occurrence of breakouts. It’s one of several products that have been helping keep my acne at bay. Willow bark extract, zinc and Niacinamide feature in this.

I started using @lemieux’ TGF-β booster (gifted) after emptying my previous hydrating serum but this is so much more than just a hydrating product. It features transforming growth factors along with hyaluronic acid (HA) which work to plump skin and address the appearance of and delay signs of aging. I love the milky texture and the glow this leaves my skin with.

The @buttahskin Vitamin C serum (PR) marked my return to Vit C after a hiatus. This combines L-ascorbic acid, HA, glycerin, ferulic acid, green tea and other plant extracts. I experienced no irritation with this and enjoy using it on mornings for antioxidant protection.

PR | I love a long, multi-step routine as much as the next skincare obsessed person but some days I need as much as possible done in fewer steps. That’s where my multifunction products come in!

This gel cleanser from @sandanyskyaus deep cleanses and refines skin while also exfoliating and reducing pore appearance.

Australian pink clay works to draw out impurities while Australian finger lime and Luffa chemically and physically exfoliate for smoother, brighter skin.

Squalane-rich macadamia oil helps combat any dryness so although this cleanser foams and contains clay, my skin never feels dry or tight after using it, just clean and refreshed.

Since it combines both physical and chemical exfoliants, I like using this a few times a week as needed instead of everyday. If you’re someone who appreciates occasional physical exfoliation, I think you’d love this. The soft beads (from the Luffa plant) are surprisingly gentle and don’t feel gritty but still give a satisfying feel and the cleanser washes off much more easily than other physical exfoliants I’ve tried.

I know physical exfoliation can be quite the polarizing topic. Do you use physical exfoliants or are they just not for you?

YTTP has been giving us hits all year! Just this week they dropped their cleansing balm and I cannot wait to dig in. I've got my first impression / #trynewskincare episode with this Superclay mask coming up... Spoiler alert - I am pretty impressed with it!
