New Collab Alert ‼️

I had the pleasure of working with @fjallraven_na to create an illustration depicting their High Coast Totepack through my own eyes. I was inspired by the Great Lakes and other beautiful Michigan scenery.
Thank you to Brian and Meghan for the direction and for choosing me for this project!!! by @artlab_agency

This illustration by Olga Aleksandrova @holaholga_illustration for The Guardian @guardian explores rejection sensitive dysphoria in a quiet but physical way.

Julia Lebedeva, exclusively represented by Art Lab Agency, created these vibrant illustrations of Roman gods and goddesses for the British Museum’s student resource on Roman Britain. @jl_ptichka

Each character—Minerva, Mars, Juno, Jupiter, and Venus—is shown with bold shapes, warm tones, and strong symbolic details. Her clean lines and rich color palette bring history to life for a new generation.

A great match for museums, editorial, and cultural education projects.

Olga Aleksandrova, exclusively represented by Art Lab Agency, brings her textured, atmospheric and cinematic style to Bloomberg’s review of A Fabulous Debt, a history of the bond market.

Luminous colour, subtle grain and layered compositions give Olga’s illustrations a sense of depth and discovery. Familiar objects become visual metaphors, connecting human stories with the wider worlds of culture, business and technology.

Swipe through three early concepts and the finished illustration, from Venetian ships to modern skyscrapers and servers.

Sasha Papercut, @sasha.papercut exclusively represented by Art Lab Agency, brings a playful, surreal and theatrical collage style to MIT Technology Review and Aventine’s story on the promises of robotics.

Vintage figures, botanical details and unexpected shifts in scale give Sasha’s images their distinctive character. Clear colour fields hold these layered worlds together, while visual humour makes complex subjects feel approachable.

Swipe through three early directions, the change of central character and the final composition to see how this visual language develops through art direction.

For Le Nouvel Obs’s special issue on Michel Foucault, Dajah Callen explored how to picture scrutiny and power. The early sketches became a panelled composition, with a watching eye at its centre and a vivid palette inspired by the 1970s.

Drew an egotistical ‘angel’ and her long-suffering friend for a piece about communal narcissism - which sounds a bit like it might be a nice thing because it’s got the word communal in it, but is in fact not nice at all… 💔 Quite fun to draw though! Swipe for sketches ✏️👉

Introducing Lisa Iwa ✨

Lisa’s linear, graphic and playful illustrations bring together architectural structure and expressive, human characters. Lines, geometry and simplified spaces shape her visual language, while life-drawing sessions and sketches of people in motion, inform the movement in her work.

Trained in architecture, Lisa found her way into illustration through contemporary art, inclusive design and painting. She spent three years at an international branding agency, progressing from intern to head of illustration, before becoming a freelancer.

Curiosity guides her process. She researches places, people and stories, gathers small observations, then explores ideas in paper sketches before developing line drawings and colour on her iPad. She wants each image to contribute to its story, helping readers understand an idea or see it from another perspective.

Her experience spans branding, merchandise, apps, magazines and special projects. Today, she is particularly interested in editorial illustration and books for adults, with subjects ranging from science and travel to contemporary art, sport, theatre and personal stories.

For Lisa, success means meaningful collaborations and the trust of people whose work she respects. Following her World Illustration Awards longlisting, she is considering a new personal project for next year while building international client relationships.

My illustration for @theatlantic is about the strange comfort of talking to AI
It can respond when you need it but can it really sit with you in the silence?

We really enjoyed working with Anastasia Mordasheva during her mentorship at the @artlab_agency

Anastasia came to us with a sophisticated style rooted in printmaking. The goal was to preserve her delicate visual language, while adding strategic industry-ready projects.

The briefs included editorial direction, metaphor and composition work, as well as a book cover series.

The result: during her promotion with the Art Lab Agency we secured Anastasia an interview with Artwort, and an elDiario.es commission, part of its collaboration with The Guardian. The work was also included in elDiario.es’s annual selection of its best illustrations.

Amie George (@amie.george.draws), exclusively represented by Art Lab Agency, brings a detailed, atmospheric, character-led and richly observed approach to the editorial and lifestyle work.

Her style combines clean line work with bold colour, carefully considered composition and a strong sense of place. Light plays an important role in shaping mood, helping her scenes feel warm, immersive and emotionally grounded, while small details give each environment a lived-in quality that invites a closer look.

Amie balances storytelling with thoughtful concept development, her work moves naturally between characterful everyday scenes and more conceptual ideas, always with empathy, humour and human connection at its core.

This makes her approach particularly suited to editorial, publishing, lifestyle, packaging, cultural projects and commercial campaigns.

Amie joins Art Lab after completing our Mentorship pathway, and we are exited to share her work with our network of clients.
