Practicing figures tonight—mixed media, loose lines, and letting the body find its shape on the page.

Becoming begins with allowing yourself to be held.

From my art journal: a moment of turning inward before emerging. Through a Jungian lens, the green enclosure evokes the nurturing Great Mother—a protective space where something new can quietly take shape.

Rest belongs to becoming, too.

Art Journal | The Girl from the Moon 🌙

Playful yet ancient. A feminine presence that feels both independent and deeply part of me.

In Jungian symbolism, she evokes the Eternal Maiden—carrying the innocence of the Divine Child and the wisdom of the Ancient Feminine.

Perhaps she is the part of me that has always known how to dance, even in the darkness.

Art journaling as a journey into the unconscious.

Held by the Mothers Before Me 🦉

An exploration of the ancestral feminine and the inner child through a Jungian lens.

The owl embodies the wisdom, strength, and protection of my maternal lineage. The little girl represents the inner child, finally safe enough to rest.

The owl remains watchful so the child doesn’t have to.

Perhaps healing our ancestral lineage isn’t only about releasing inherited wounds, but also reclaiming the love, resilience, and wisdom passed down through generations.

Protection without possession. Love without control.

Meraki | The Ancestral Feminine

Meraki is a Greek word meaning to pour your soul, love, and creativity into what you make.

This bird emerged intuitively as an independent feminine presence—benevolent yet fierce, mysterious yet protective.

Through a Jungian lens, she evokes the Great Mother archetype, carrying the strength, wisdom, and resilience of the maternal lineage.

Perhaps healing our ancestry is not only about acknowledging inherited suffering, but also reclaiming inherited strength.

Art gives the unconscious a voice.

The Owl at the Threshold | A Jungian Reflection

Sometimes we paint what we cannot yet articulate.

I painted this owl intuitively, without a predetermined narrative. Only afterward did I begin to explore its symbolism through Carl Jung’s archetypal psychology.

The owl evokes the Wise Old Woman archetype—intuitive wisdom, inner knowing, and the ability to see through darkness.

Her expression intrigues me. Watchful, almost vigilant, yet tender and childlike. Perhaps wisdom and vulnerability are not opposites.

Her golden body recalls Jung’s alchemical symbolism of transformation. The dark colors within her suggest that wholeness is not achieved by eliminating the shadow, but by integrating it.

The blue outlines evoke psychological boundaries, while the imperfect circles remind me of Jung’s mandalas—symbols of the Self and our movement toward wholeness.

The owl seems to stand between two worlds: the dense, darker landscape of the unconscious and an open, unfinished space of possibility.

Jung called the journey toward psychological wholeness individuation.

After a year of profound personal change, I find myself reflecting on what transformation really means.

Perhaps it isn’t about becoming fearless, but learning to remain present with fear.

Perhaps wisdom isn’t about becoming invulnerable, but remaining tender while growing stronger.

Art often reveals what the conscious mind has not yet found words for.

A Little Color, A Little Mischief! 🐓🎨❤️

I’ve always loved working with pastels. If there’s one thing that defines my artistic style, it’s my love for bold colors and expressive lines.

I spent much of my younger years drawing and sketching, and there’s something wonderfully grounding about holding a pastel in my hand and watching rich, vibrant colors come alive on paper.

These three roosters emerged in my sketchbook, each with a personality of its own. I couldn’t help but smile as their quirky expressions began to take shape. A little attitude, a little mischief, and a whole lot of character!

I love how playful and unapologetically colorful they turned out.

I can imagine these cheerful fellows bringing a splash of color and personality to a young person’s bedroom, a creative corner, or even a playful reading nook.

Art doesn’t always have to be serious. Sometimes, it’s simply about the joy of creating. ❤️

A recent pair of pet portraits — exploring expressive color and close-cropped framing to capture personality rather than likeness. Sometimes the most interesting compositional choice is what you leave out of frame.

Afternoon in the studio, warming these art muscles back up 🌿 Returned to this green abstract after almost a year away from it — she’s part of a trio and it feels good to be back in her world. Also sneaking in some cantaloupe studies for art classes coming with the website relaunch. Slow, textured, green kind of day.

Calla lilies, rendered in thick, textured strokes against a burning umber sky. There’s something about painting white on brown — the flowers had to fight for their light. 🤍🔥

Sketches from memory — the world I grew up in. 🖊️🎨

A rotary phone that once connected everything, a scooter that carried three of us at once (me, my brother, and mom holding on tight), and streets lined with brick and balconies I can still smell after rain.

My dad served in the Signals of the Indian Army — maybe that’s why old telephones feel like family heirlooms to me. And that scooter? Pure childhood freedom, wind in our faces, no helmets, no worries.

Some things you don’t forget. You just sketch them back into being. ✏️📻🛵
