What an absolute HONOR it was to step back into the kitchen with @treyfoshee and help celebrate the incredible 40th Anniversary of @georgesatthecove as a guest chef. I had the privilege of working at this iconic restaurant in my late teens and early 20’s and it established a foundation from which I’ve worked from ever since. Stepping back into the kitchen was surreal; a flood of memories and experiences came back that I will forever cherish. That kitchen was pushing the limits, doing 200+ covers a night at a level that was ahead of anything else in San Diego at the time. It was an incredibly challenging environment and I was happy to try and keep up. THANK YOU for everything Chef and CONGRATULATIONS to you, @geohauer and the entire team, past and present! #40yearandstillgoingstrong by @asecviar

In 2005, after working a season at @el_bulli_ I found myself looking for my next challenge. While working in Spain I fell in love with Michelin-style kitchens and knew I wanted to continue cooking at the highest level. Little did I know that the rigor, discipline, professionalism, technique and attention to detail I was exposed to in Europe would be completely trumped in my own home state. I was lucky enough to spend nearly 7 years @_tfl_ and it changed me, like so many others, in ways I could never have imagined. Trying desperately to keep up with @clee_benu and the talented team would prove to be one of the most demanding and fulfilling journeys I’ve taken. As the restaurant celebrates its 30th anniversary, I am humbled and more proud than ever to be an alumni. CONGRATULATIONS @chefthomaskeller and THANK YOU for allowing me to walk the halls of fame. Forever grateful to you and so many others… @devinknell @cheftimhollingsworth @jasonberthold @chef_davidbreeden @j.mizukami @rossmelling @chefwalterabrams @chefmattpeters @denniskellyms @lnadeau4 @markbodinet @philacwood @philiptessier @chefrodneywages @chef_rodgers @chefpatrickfahy @c.schmidig @dnlryn @dessertkokken @paletero_man87 @jgranada39 @chefclaireclark @accessnapavalley @ahlebaen by @asecviar
