Brokenagan BYU 2025 recap 🩷🌲

The weather was perfect, the bugs were vicious, the memories impeccable 👌

Got to share some miles with some really cool people

I felt good for about 4 yards then legs slowly starting breaking down. The hills really started to feel painful after lap 6. After the 7th yard I told myself I only needed to walk the 8th to get my 53k which was my goal. But after a life-changing 3 minutes of massage by the amazing massage volunteers I was able to run on the 8th lap and then walk the last one in which felt like the longest 65 minutes ever.

I would love to get a 50 miler under my belt one day but I honestly didn't have the training for it this time which made me feel guilty as this year the weather was so much better than the usual scorchers.

I got to share a couple loops with @ilikerunningsometimes who accomplished her first 50 miler! 🔥

When a couple running friends are doing a self supported 50k and the night before you wish them well...and she invites you to join. What do you do?

🐉 52km of celebrating the training it took to get here. 🔥🏅
It was my second year of running Slay the Dragon (at the 50k distance) and it was better than ever.

🏃‍♀️Thanks Trent, Malinda and Linette for sharing the smiles and suffering. Thanks to Dawna @bush_babe_ for putting on a fantastic event and @carlalbuchanan for running it.

You wake up on a Saturday on May long weekend. It's long run day and you're running in the mountains. The newest Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobook is downloaded and you're getting iced coffee after. Life is good. Happy
