& her heart grew two sizes that year🎄 by @ashleighcollins

Being pregnant is the craziest experience I’ve ever been through and it is also only the beginning of being a mom. I felt like sharing because in some ways life prepared me for this. I wanted to slow down on my drinking before even making the move back home, which I did. I accidentally took a set of my mom’s keys to AZ with me that say “mom” on them and looked at it everyday months and months before. After moving home, the first egg I cracked in my apartment had two yolks in it 🩷🩵 I knew deep down I was pregnant and twins crossed my mind multiple times. I was unbelievably sick for a while and stopped caring about any sort of gender, quantity, etc., so I was still very shocked at my first appointment. Thankfully, my family has taken great care of me from the second they found out. From checking on me to injecting me with fluids lol. My nephews have been so sweet and check on my belly every time I see them. And also make a little fun of me 😂😜 I had to look at the pregnancy test through my phone camera because I was so nervous. As you can tell by my mismatched socks, I got a lot to figure out.
It is one of the most positive and negative feelings ever. Like mourning your old life (especially with other huge life changes like moving home after 8 years) while also being extremely excited for the new life waiting on you. I’ve ALWAYS wanted to be a mom and although I do wish I had a big heads up, I know this is what is meant for me and my life. Women are so amazing and it is crazy what our bodies can do. Whether you’ve lost your baby or given birth to multiple ones, you are equally amazing and have a unique story. I’m having a perfect set of babies sometime before October 21st and I’m getting my girl and my boy 🥲🩷🩵

So thankful to be their momma 🥹 I’m trying to remain grateful at all times, but NICU life is hard. We can’t wait to be home and snuggle like this all the time 🩷🩵 by @ashleighcollins

Happy birthday to our perfect baby twins!!! Cannot believe they are 3 years old! We had such a good day yesterday and are so thankful we have so many great people in our life! They both got all their favorite things and got to spend it with their favorite people. 🩵🩷 by @ashleighcollins

Today our sweet boy was officially diagnosed with Autism. I feel the need to share this for some reason, maybe to make others feel less alone or to explain his and/or my behavior. River is the most chill little dude I’ve ever known. I could leave him alone in his playroom if I wanted and he’d be perfectly content. He has made toddlerhood such a breeze, especially because his sister is absolutely wild. Does he ever get upset? Of course. But it’s usually just because he wants to go outside or wants something to eat or drink and hasn’t quite figured out the words to tell us yet. He is very vocal and has recently been singing along to songs, ABCs, and looooves to say dada. Which I don’t blame him, Jonathan has handled this immensely better than I have. He has such a positive and supportive attitude about this because as his parents, we’ve known without the diagnosis for a while. I feel guilty because I share so much of Aria and not as much of River and it is because he is just so chill. Aria is always getting into shenanigans and posing for the camera. I would be lying if I didn’t say her and I have connected more. She’s very much a mommy’s girl and River is definitely a daddy’s boy. It makes me sad but I am so grateful each of my babies have a parent they are close to. River will start ABA therapy sometime soon and will hopefully continue to progress. Selfishly, all we want is for him to be able to express his love for us one day. We don’t mind that he is “different” or “not normal”. We love him just the same. We are celebrating his 3rd birthday tomorrow and although he will probably hate how many people I invited 😂 we cannot wait! We love you so much River Thomas. by @ashleighcollins

Another year spent with my best friends who are growing up and learning so much every single day! I can’t believe how smart they both are and how absolutely identical they are to myself and @ashleighcollins with every little thing they do and also don’t do 😂 Happy 3rd birthday my beautiful babies! I can’t wait to celebrate you this weekend 😍

I’m a day late but as long as no one tells them it’ll be fine 🙏🏼😂 by @ashleighcollins

First post is coming a few days late but Father’s Day this year looked a lot better than it has in previous years! Thankful to get to raise and love all 3 of my babies each and every day. By the looks of it they’re pretty thankful for me too! Thanks, Mom 😉😍😘 by @ashleighcollins
