Trunk or Treat 2026 was one for the books 👨‍🔬🥼🔬

Our church did our first ever sensory friendly/ quiet area! What started out as a simple prayer and a question turned into something really beautiful!

Thank God for an amazing team who poured into this vision, showed up and did things the Jesus way. Families left feeling seen, supported and loved! What a blessing to be a small part of a bigger picture that the Lord is painting. 🙏 by @ashleighmacb

Alive in Christ. 🌅

“Thou changes not, Thy compassion’s, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me” by @ashleighmacb

It’s happening 🤩🎄 The most wonderful time of the year is close! 🥰

Here’s what I’m learning lately. I’m learning that my psychology must meet my theology as well as my biology must meet theology and in the ooey gooey center of both, there is truth. There is nothing new under the sun. (Ecclesiastes 1:9) The Bible is a hard book to digest, I think it’s also even hard to digest for those who study its content deeply and teach it. I’m not sure it’s meant to be a comfortable read but it consistently leads us to the comforting arms of its author. I said to my husband last night that this book is the only book I can approach with both emotion and logic and the outcome is neither. I can approach this book with both failure and victory and the outcome is humility that does not come from my own natural ability because my flesh fails constantly. It’s the only book that I can take a moment, situation, feeling or even confusion to and it challenge not just my thinking but my response…because it’s alive. I don’t think it’s meant to be comfortable but I do think it’s meant to change me slowly over time. It’s never going to be a book I have a full grasp on, I will never live it perfectly but I think that’s ok as long as I can still reach the hem of his garment. by @ashleighmacb

My favorite thing about a fresh new Bible is the re-highlight process, making new notes of new wisdom in new seasons in the margins. Going through and reminding myself of the same mercy and grace that was present in my previous one, continuing to make itself known in my new one because the author is the same yesterday, today and forever.

I’ve been searching for a new bible for about a year and have been carrying my husband’s around with me but felt it was time to find my own and last weekend, this one was sitting on a table by itself just waiting and I truly have not been able to put it down since. Also,I really think its helps that it’s purple. 🥰📖💜 by @ashleighmacb

“If the devil can’t make you bad, he’ll make you busy.”

Too busy for connection.
Too busy for fellowship.
Too busy to answer the call.
Too busy believing your personality traits are an excuse to not be obedient to what the Lord has asked.
Too busy worrying about what other people think, what they say, how they feel.
Too busy in ministry that we miss the point of ministry.

Too busy to stop long enough to see what the point of all of it is….
It’s Jesus… It’s the command to be conformed to the image of Jesus. And praise God that Jesus was never too busy to save sinners. Praise God that Jesus ministered in the unplanned, the planned and everything in between. 🙏 May our busy turn into faithful and may we understand that the cost is far less than unfaithfulness.

The Lord has been working in this kid’s heart all day. After school he told me how much he loved See you at the Pole. Tonight, I watched him lift his hands in worship for the first time as we sang Great are you Lord. 🥰 What a God. 🙌 by @ashleighmacb

You better believe I was gonna be the first one in line to get a drink made by the infamous Bill Winn! What a hilarious and kind man! I love this little town and its people. 🍂🥰🫶

One of the best moments of today was getting the opportunity to sit in front of my former counselor who encouraged me in the beginning of my school journey and tell her how far I’ve come. The look of joy on her face was just enough in that moment to remind me of how worth it this journey has been. I almost forgot what it felt like to sit on a couch with a list full of excuses of why I can’t, wrapped in a blanket of high functioning anxiety and today I stood really firm in the belief that I absolutely can, because I have and what I can’t do, God can. What a cathartic and beautiful moment. 🩷

Can I just say that whatever lie you’re buying about yourself, it’s so worth doing the work to unravel it to find out what’s true. Fear can only win if you let it. It’s not born from inability, you can do it, you just don’t know it yet. K, love you, go live your BIG dreams and beautiful callings. 🫶 Bye by @ashleighmacb
