Feelings are like farts.

Metaphors from a child psychologist I find shockingly helpful paired with images from the last couple months. Been bizzzzzay by @ashleylaurenboucher

Recently I took a personal branding class that pounded into my soul that as a service business provider you will fail if you do not have an incredible social credit score, also known as an online following.

But you know what sucks about that…. I hate posting pictures about my styling work. The camera will never be able to capture the intimacy and true gratitude I feel when working with my clients. And I sure as shit am not asking them to pose for a before and after. Like “hi your wardrobe was in trouble, now you look great, can I market that on the internet about you to get me more clients?” It has never come natural to me.

I took this picture yesterday, pulling looks for a father son fitting I have today. I laughed at this picture and shrugged off posting it because my stomach is out, I look unprofessional as my dad would say, and yet, I FEEL MY BEST.

The sales associates at the store would tell you how I was busting ass to come up with unique looks for the fitting, putting love and personal touches into each detail. Doing laps around the store, rummaging through every single item just to have THE BEST for the client.

I know that the clients I am serving today don’t care what my social credit score is because they walk away feeling loved and confident in a way that only can come from the Holy Spirit in me. And you know what doesn’t suck…. Is I have had a business survive the come up of influencers without sharing bts or compromising my clients’ comfort.

So this crummy picture goes out to all the small business owners out there staying booked and busy from word of mouth. It is soooooo vulnerable to post the real. I applaud and admire the ones who have figured it out. I hope to find my digital voice and not get swallowed up with a poor digital footprint, but until then…. Here is an unedited picture of me doing what I was put on this earth to do 🫶🏼 by @ashleylaurenboucher

Another incredible night with @neimanmarcusfortworth

For the past few years I have had the privilege of DJing the Fashion and Philanthropy event. Four incredible woman are honored and Neimans puts on a Fall event to celebrate. Looks and bubbly are served while Crying Sparkles creates a melodic playful groove. It would not be an event with Neimans if shopping wasn’t involved - a portion of the night’s proceeds go to four different non profit organizations;

Project 4031
Cooks Children’s Health Foundation
Saving Hope
Justin’s Place

What a night to remember 🕺

Took a personal al branding class…. Can you tell 😋

Let’s have some fun with the making you feel better in your clothing you already own. Trying to make your simple tees feel more feminine? Well, if you can stick around through the first 5 minutes of rambling then you will receive some wisdom 🫶🏼

Simple Steps
1. Drip jewels that create feminine lines
2. Style back with a feminine item (the skirt)
3. Stick to your complimentary colors
