Figured I’d put the questions I get most about coaching all in one place!

If you’ve been curious about working with me but weren’t totally sure what that actually looks like, this should help. If I missed your question, just ask me 💛

As a trauma-informed coach who works with folks navigating stress, identity, safety, and self-worth…
I really need to say something.

The Trevor Project’s “Press 3” lifeline, a literal life-saving service for LGBTQ+ youth, is being cut.
This is a crisis and an attack disguised as "efficient policy change"

Queer and trans kids already face higher rates of mental health struggles, and removing the only national lifeline designed specifically for them sends a dangerous, heartbreaking message:
“You don’t deserve the support you need.”

I’m saying: You do.
We do.
We always will.

If you or someone you love needs support, please know: The Trevor Project is still here.
📞 Call 1-866-488-7386
💬 Or text START to 678-678
🌐 thetrevorproject.org/get-help

To every LGBTQ+ person reading this:
You matter. Your voice matters. Your life matters.
This world is heavy. You are not alone. You are here. We are here together. And there are people who won't stop fighting for you.

📞 WHO TO CALL

1. Your State & Federal Representatives

Let them know you're outraged about the defunding of LGBTQ+ mental health resources. You can say:

> "I'm calling to express my deep concern about the decision to cut funding for the Trevor Project's crisis services. This lifeline saves lives, especially for LGBTQ+ youth. I urge you to speak out and take action to restore this support."

🧭 Not sure who your reps are? Use this tool:

2. SAMHSA & HHS (Health & Human Services)

They oversee national mental health funding. You can say:

> “Cutting the Trevor Project’s direct crisis line for LGBTQ+ youth is dangerous and discriminatory. Please do everything in your power to prioritize inclusive, affirming care. These lives are not political pawns.”

📞 SAMHSA: 1-877-726-4727
📞 HHS: 1-877-696-6775
(You can also email via their sites)

What’s one thing you usually wait until you’re exhausted to give yourself?

Something we can explore in coaching is what happens before you reach that point. What are you noticing but brushing past? What do you keep telling yourself can wait? How could caring for yourself fit into the day you actually have?

I wanted to leave this here as a reminder to keep engaging in your hobbies, or as an encouragement to pick one back up that you might not have done in a long time. This is a list of some activities that will feed your nervous system deep nourishment:

🎨 Creative flow: Painting, drawing, knitting, pottery; anything that lets you get absorbed in creating can pull your attention into what’s happening right in front of you.
🎲 Purposeless play: Board games, Legos, being ridiculous with your friends. Play gives your brain space to explore, connect, experiment, and enjoy something without needing it to be productive.
💃 Rhythm: Dancing, drumming, rocking, humming. Repetitive rhythm gives your nervous system predictable sensory input and can be incredibly regulating.
🍞 Heavy work: Kneading bread, working with clay, gardening, yoga. Pushing, pulling, squeezing, carrying, and using your muscles gives your brain strong information about where your body is in space which can feel really grounding.
🌩️ Nature + awe: A walk through the woods, or watching a thunderstorm roll in, or just looking up at the tremendous night sky are experiences of awe that can interrupt the tiny little world happening inside our heads and reconnect us with something much bigger.

What's in YOUR nervous system grocery cart?

I think we wait for “deserving better” to come with some undeniable piece of evidence; something bad enough that nobody could ever question why we chose differently.

If part of you has started asking the question, I’d at least let yourself finish the sentence without over-explaining.
