Details of a doggo.

Still painting and still forgetting to post!

Family of spaniels all together and all hand painted by me.

The (human) family requested a portrait of their two dogs in one painting. The two single paintings I did to loosen up as I hadn’t painted for a fair few months and was worried that I could still paint at all!

Trying out a looser, freer brush stroke on this golden spaniel.

Think it worked out ok?

A really lovely first commission of the year to work on.

This time I started off with a pencil sketch to help me with the composition and ensuring it all fits the page!

Then I layered up the water colours and ended with a few pencil marks for definition and some of the added detail.

All created by hand.

LOVE //
a loving paw, placed on her pup’s arm, captured in watercolour for their humans.

LOVE //
the kindness people have shown me over the last two years of navigating parental illness and, sadly, grief.

LOVE //
the patience of clients to wait until I felt ready to paint again.

Thank you.

Floating around. Quick biro sketch from memory - remembering how little one used to bob about in the water. Now he’s mostly diving into the water!
