A cover from my late brother’s band’s song with original instrumentals

I used to get lost and find pianos to play on by @asiloveilltryagain

When I was 16 years old, my brother passed away from a h3roin addiction. He’d always wanted to be a musician. (Like, wanted to hitchhike to California to type shit.) I grew up listening to his band’s songs. The little concerts in our living room. Watched him and his bandmates grow into pretty sick ass musicians. Thought it was so cool when he played at The White Rabbit in San Antonio.
And when he got out of rehab, I woke up every morning to him playing the piano and singing the new stuff he’d written. I wish I’d appreciated it more then.
Any time I go to Texas one of the first things I do is visit his grave. I think about our talks on our roof a lot. I speak to him when I do something cool that I know he’d appreciate. I wear checkered slip on vans for him & his cropped shirts have followed me to every home. Our talks were so full of promise and when he left, it left a void that’s sometimes only touched when I see the sun setting in certain ways. Anyway! I covered one of his band’s songs a couple years ago. Here’s a snippet & it’s special to me cause the instrumentals are original.
Amado lived authentically and with so much love. He loved his people and wanted them to get better too.
