NGC 7000 captured with my SeeStar S50Pro (check out the full@image on my Facebook as couldn’t get the entire FOV on Insta) This was around 7 hours of 60 second subs, in EQ mode. Stacked & processed with PixInsight - Final Processing in Photoshop by @astro_george_

Tonight’s 87% Waxing Gibbous Moon - captured with my SeeStar S50Pro. by @astro_george_

We have clear skies here in Fife, Scotland tonight! The big-rig is capturing more ancient photons ✨ Any other Astro-friends out tonight? by @astro_george_

A burst of aurora activity last night over Cowdenbeath. I think I missed the best of the storm but still amazing to see and capture. by @astro_george_

Such a brilliant ‘all-nighter’ here in Fife, Scotland - all three scopes working away on different targets from 8pm until 6am this morning 🤩✨ by @astro_george_

The scope preparing for roof-off and a couple of hours of imaging tonight ✨ #askar #telescope #astrophotography #deepspace #astroshed by @astro_george_

My first capture with the new SeeStar S50Pro - The Eastern Veil Nebula (NGC 6992) - a small part of a large supernova remanent located 2400 light-years away. What you are seeing is the violent but beautiful aftermath of a star that exploded 10,000 - 20,000 years ago - with glowing shockwaves of ionised gas, red being the hydrogen & blue oxygen.

After starting this journey about a year ago, my space-themed tattoo sleeve is finally finished — and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how it’s turned out.

A massive thank you to the extremely talented @emilystewartist for bringing the whole thing to life. The amount of detail throughout the sleeve is incredible, and seeing everything come together into one complete piece is pretty special.

Every part of it means something to me — from my love of astronomy and space, to the individual details and ideas we’ve added along the way. It’s been amazing watching it grow session by session over the past year, and the finished result is better than I could have imagined. 🌌🚀✨

And while we were at it, I also finally got my dogs’ actual paw prints tattooed onto my lower leg. 🐾❤️ Those mean more to me than I can really put into words. Having their paw prints with me permanently is something incredibly special and something I’ll always treasure, especially with two of my boys no longer with us. (Still need to get one more paw print on me from Nero who I tried, but couldn’t get a good print of).

Huge thanks again to Emily for the unbelievable work, patience and attention to detail. An amazing artist and a piece of artwork I’m very proud to wear for the rest of my life! 🙌

One sleeve finished… although I’m not making any promises that this is the end of the tattoos by @astro_george_

Almost a full Moon at 98% - captured last night with my SeeStar S50pro. by @astro_george_

I managed to grab a bit more data on my latest deep-space project before the clouds rolled in and the ridiculously bright Moon finally put an end to proceedings! 🌕☁️

Nights like this really make me appreciate having a roll-off roof observatory. Being able to head outside, roll the roof back and be up and imaging pretty much straight away makes such a difference — especially when the clear spells are short!

It might only have been a brief session, but in astrophotography every single sub counts. A few more photons in the bag and a little more data to add to the project.

Good to see you again, old friend. #orion by @astro_george_

The wee rig is officially up and running! 🔭

I’ve fitted a new (and much better!) guide scope, and everything is now working brilliantly. Sadly, the clouds have rolled in here, but I managed to get a good couple of hours under the stars to get everything fine-tuned and running nicely.

Meanwhile, the big rig was ticking away too, collecting even more precious photons for my latest deep-space project… ✨🌌

Now we just need those clear skies to come back! by @astro_george_
