We had a great time hosting another SFDW event! This year we hosted perhaps the first ever AI v. Human sketch-off and poetry slam and invited guests to explore the intersection of creativity and AI with us. Thanks to everyone that made it out last week. See you again next year!

While not exactly a new hire, we’d like to reintroduce our Executive Creative Director @noriofujikawa, as he’s heading to Detroit to jury the @idsadesign IDEA awards 🏆 Originally from Chicago, Norio is now a consistent creative force in the SF design and art scenes. Here at Astro we know him for his magnanimous creative direction and strong distrust of kale.

5 is inspired by Andy Warhol’s painting, ‘Five Campbell’s Soup Cans’. In 1963, when the art critic G. R. Swenson asked Warhol why he painted soup cans, the artist replied “I used to drink it, I used to have the same lunch everyday, for twenty years.”
