Vibe coding is going crazy these days. I just came across a Blender add-on that completely transforms the entire interface and workflow into Maya including the navigation and menus! It's pretty wild that an add-on can do this.
Now, this add-on isn't for everyone and it's definitely not perfect it does have a few issues. But if you're someone who loves Maya and can't afford it for whatever reason, it’s definitely worth a try. That said, I still prefer Blender's default navigation; in my opinion, it's way more user-friendly than Maya's!

Here are my notes on Houdini headless mode, covering how to get started and all the commands I use.

Since Instagram doesn't allow clickable links in captions, just comment "DOCS" below and I'll DM you the Google Doc link!

Houdini headless mode is amazing!
Recently, I’ve been working on heavy Pyro simulations that push my RAM and VRAM to the limit. That’s when I discovered running Houdini directly from the terminal using hbatch, without opening the GUI.
It’s a game-changer because:
→ Less RAM and VRAM overhead from the GUI
→ Fewer crashes caused by memory pressure
→ No viewport freezes
→ More resources available for simulations

WIP: I'm working on a Pyro simulation to use for machine learning tests, along with a low-resolution version optimized for real-time rendering in Unreal Engine. I found a really cool flamethrower reference video by @KentuckyBallistics , so I decided to build one. Next up is learning how to set up a pre-visualization so I can fine-tune everything before running the full Pyro Solver simulation.

Growth Effect Using Pyro Source Spread | Houdini 🎃

Made this growth effect using Pyro Source Spread in Houdini. I was working on something for Halloween and wanted to add a nice pyro effect to it.
But of course… Windows 11 had other plans. 💀

Houdini VEX: Space Colonization Growth Effect
I haven't done any growth effects in a while, so I'm trying out the Space Colonization branching effect.

This is a random video from when I was working with Blender and Houdini for a project. I forgot Blender uses different axes, and somehow I managed to break the FBX. If you know a fix for the FBX, feel free to comment below. For USD, you just need to rotate the X-axis by -90 or check the 'convert orientation' box. Why am I uploading this? It just felt funny.

With AI everywhere, I started wondering: why do I make 3D art?
So I went back to my old account and looked through my old work.
I realized I do it because it’s fun. I love making weird, silly things, researching, and learning new stuff.
That’s what keeps me creating.
If you’re an artist feeling demotivated, look back at your old work.
Remind yourself why you started.

Ship Showdown 2956 Phase 1 Contest
I wanted to make something new for this event and practice my 3D skills, so I made a miniature of the C1 Spirit. The C1 Spirit is my favorite multipurpose ship; it is one of my starter ships and it can do anything, so I like it very much.

Project Management System

Over the last few weeks, I have been working on a few projects and noticed that organizing them had turned into a nightmare. I needed a solution to maintain and organize my projects, as well as show me the active ones I am working on, so I made a custom Project Management System. I know there are many out there, but I wanted something really simplistic with minimalistic UI interactions that is also portable. So, I built a project management tool using Python and the PySide6 package. I used Google Gemini to assist with the code, and it was incredible seeing my imagination turn into reality.
