My book „Experimentelles Drucken: Techniken und Ideen für den Milchkartondruck“ was published last week by @haupt_verlag. Today I’m celebrating with family & friends at @papelier.at - and on the fitting occasion that today is Printmaking Day ;) @tagderdruckkunst

If you’re in Innsbruck, come by at 5pm - I look forward to seeing you! by @ateliergelb

Just a few days left for the roadtrip to Offenbach am Main for the Hot Printing Festival at @klingspor_museum.

On the 22-23. August 2026 the museum will turn into an inky wonderland for printmakers and print lovers, with 90+ artists and a packed program with workshops and talks.

I was there two years ago and loved it so much, it’s still a highlight of the last years.
I can’t wait to be there again with my little pasta machine printing press, and meet old and new friends 💛 by @ateliergelb

Making oil-based ink to print on ceramics. This is a new recipe I‘m testing and hoping the proportions of all ingredients are right.

It‘s super hot at home today, but lucky me, the basement where I’m working from is pretty cool 🤗

I needed oil-based ink to do paper lithography on clay, and couldn‘t find a ready-made product, so I‘m trying my own recipes. Do you know of any products that work for litho on clay?

I am testing this ink with Tetra Pak intaglio and linocut too, and I prefer this consistency compared to using thickened underglaze.

Paper lithography is a process that works but every time I do it, I can‘t believe it actually does.

New things I tried in 2025 and whether they‘ll happen again in 2026:

1. Monotype inner monologue (+ exhibition at @kater_noster in Innsbruck). I think I‘m done with this series but loved working on them and seeing people react to them ☑️

2. Paper Lampshades with Denise @refurnished.upholstery. 💯 loved this and would love to repeat 🥰

3. Beads on fabric. Fun, but didn‘t love it!

4. Mosaic. Tried really hard to love it, but no.

5. Beaded earrings (and the colorblock collection that started with them!). Love love love this and I‘ll be making more for sure! 💕

6. Plastiline stamps (learned from @stadtstempel_projekt), tried it with @lenacostadiaz and the kids 🥹 100% doing this again.

7. Paper fans! That was a fun (fan) workshop @papelier.at and will do it again if we have another hot summer 😄

8. Printing on fabric with the gelliplate and making hairties with it. Loved the printing, wish I could love the sewing.

9. Cyanotype on fabric. Love the lavender sachets, but not sure if I‘ll be making more.

10. Friendship bracelets. Never learned to do this as a teenager, but now loved it!

11. Colorblock scarfs. Love them 😊 I plan to write a pattern this year and make a few more in new colors.

12. Reduction linocut. Enjoyed the process and felt a bit smart about it 😅 will do again for sure.

13. Cards with electrical circuits. After struggling with electronics at uni, probably my biggest win this year has been understanding these extremely simple circuits 😄 I‘m hosting a workshop at @phtirol later this year 😊

14. Paracord bag charms. Loved them, my daughter loved them too, the workshop was a hit at @papelier.at ✨

15. Painting candles. Fun, might do it again next festive season!

16. Little bow ornament cards. Cute little project, might want to do a few more for our tree next year.

17. Printmaking experiments on ceramics. I‘ll keep going for sure 💯

18. Weaving! Loved my first try 💕

What new things did you try? What are you up to in 2026? 🥰 by @ateliergelb

Hello from the holidays. I’m taking a few weeks off where anything that looks even remotely like productive work is strictly forbidden.
I’m using the time to rest, nap, eat, and learn.

2025 was about prioritising the important over the urgent, as often as possible. This experiment went well. I’ve proven to myself that I can do what I want to do and still have time for what I must do.
It’s been a year of hard work, of sowing rather than reaping, and I expect 2026 to be more of the same.

One thing I’m especially looking forward to is working with clay. So here’s to a new year full of learning and building: to cracked and successful experiments, to smears and smudges, to happy accidents, and to building patience for the not-so-happy ones.

Wishing you a good year ahead <3

These cyanotype lavender sachets are one of my favorite makes this year.

As I start to prepare to take a few weeks off anything that sounds, looks or feels like work, the first “happy holidays” have been said and the first thoughts of 2026 goals have been thought.

Feels a bit early for all that, I can’t believe there’s only a couple weeks left on this year. Just about yesterday it was January first, wasn’t it?!

Found this while tidying up after the winter market. Tidying up takes time too 🙃

Time for the yearly selfie! You‘ll find me and my prints this weekend at Handliches Spektakel at @diebackerei 🌈

This year I’m also showing off my newest obsession and bringing colorblock scarfs, earrings and notebooks with me. All matchy matchy in bold colors and beautiful materials.

Looking foward to seeing you there! 💕 by @ateliergelb
